I installed my MCARBO flat/straight trigger in my Kel Tec PF 9 today. The trigger shoe is very nice as to both quality and overall finish and appearance. Their you tube instructional video cover all details of the tear down and install, what a improvement,I didn't go with their lightened trigger springs due to Kel eTc design and didn't want a final 2 1/2 lb. break. Any product that I'm in need of that they produce will come from them.
This trigger also works flawlessly in the cobra patriot 9mm. As a former marine small arms tech I can say with confidence mcarbo has the best parts and installation videos I’ve ever come across.
I got the trigger and spring kit. What a difference! No more pinching
I installed the recoil springs and sst rod, hammer spring, trigger springs and flat trigger in my PF-9. I could not get my firing pin out, so I did not change the pf spring. I've only dry fired my PF-9 but it feels great. The flat trigger can be adjusted to take out all the free travel, big improvement over the original parts.
My 10 year old PF9 is like new again. Better than new really. I feels so much better than it did. Much smoother. The install wasn't that difficult. The videos are awesome. Just follow step by step and stop it between steps. The only thing I did different than the video is installed the trigger travel screws dead center from the start. I didn't have to adjust them at all when I was done. I'm very happy with the results.
Don't blame the PF-9 if you cant shoot it well. This trigger will help , but will not overcome a lack of disciplined training and proper grip. Watch this video: https://youtu.be/BdYBGjNENSI . I installed all the kits for my PF9 and the online tutorial was great. All the parts work as advertised except for the trigger when used with a Crimson Trace laser. The trigger only clears the the inside of the trigger guard at the closest part of the trigger sweep by .012 in. The laser assy. where it wraps around the trigger guard is @ .080 in. This slows down the return of the trigger so that the trigger does not reset. Trimming the plastic of the laser assy. so that the trigger is not contacted solves the problem. Now everything works like I expected it to.
Just let me start by saying, I'm far from being a gunsmith, I've always paid to do upgrades to my weapons. With that being said, I followed Mcarbo's easy instructions and was able to do this trigger change myself. Awesome feel, great must have upgrade.
Put in a new trigger along with the spring kit and the recoil springs. I'm not a gunsmith, but it was a piece of cake. Just follow the video. Much improved operation. Liked it so much that I also did an LCP and a S&W "J" frame.
Their video helped me install it quickly. I just did the flat trigger because I want the long double action for conceal carry. Feels great. Going to shoot it this weekend.
I know I’m only reviewing the one part, I purchased all the pf9 parts available. I am completely satisfied with the products. My is a few years old, it now fills like a new gun. I recommend these parts to any pf9 owner.
Great product! I picked this up with the lighter spring kit and it works flawlessly. Im a firearms instructor in SC and expend thousands of rounds a week and this really does make shooting the PF9 more enjoyable. ..not to mention easier to be accurate with. Would give it 5 stars but I wish the pre-travel screw was longer to make my trigger more of a 90 degree angle.
What's to say this trigger is light years better than the original !
Purchased the target trigger and trigger spring for my PF -9 pistol. Watched the install video, all went smooth. Recommend the upgrade and doing it yourself. Notable difference in firing and trigger pull. No trigger flex and you can take some of the travel out of the trigger. There is a fix for the plastic frame pins. Use kel tec ' s belt clip sex bolts. I replaced 2 when purchased their belt clip and ordered 2 extra from kel tec or just order 3.
I Install the flat trigger sold by mcarbo the install went perfect i love the flat trigger reduced trigger pull for more smoother trigger pull would highly recommend the flat trigger.
I swapped springs, rod and trigger with M*Carbo replacement parts. My PF-9s are now a pleasure to shoot. Made a world of difference.
