I purchased item #211120005555, Kimber Micro 9 Trigger Spring Kit. It arrived promptly via USPS. I installed the kit on my Kimber using the M-CARBO video ad a guide. It was a very simple procedure. The only issue was one end of the trigger was a little too tight. To fix this I merely taping a brass punch into the opening. No Problem. Although I don't have a trigger pull scale I can tell the kit is performing as described. I would recommend this product. jc
Service was great, delivery was fast and the video help with the installation. I will back to purchase some more products.
I ordered this kit in two parts. First time m*carbo was selling the main spring and firing pin spring. Did not reduce the trigger pull to even close to where I wanted it. I contacted them and they immediately responded with a question, "is your sear spring bent or straight?" Answer for my micro-9 was straight. They immediately responded with "The older micro-9's came with a bent sear spring which reduces the break pull." Sent me a photo of an old and new spring. I bent mine according to their photo and got the trigger pull down into the 3-4 pound range and I was happy. I then saw they had started shipping a new sear spring that was lighter than what I had done. I ordered it, shipped the same day, and showed up quickly. I was already an expert at removing/installing the sear spring so installation of this one went quickly. Checked and it was maybe slightly better than the one I had bent by hand, which means it was FAR superior to the original sear spring. This is worth the money, and will get you down into that 3-4 pound range where this gun suddenly becomes fun to shoot since you can avoid popping blood vessels pulling the trigger hard enough to light it off. Installation is not hard. And their video shows the entire process for those a little leery of breaking into their micro-9. Well-done guys. Also bought your polishing kit and now the feed ramp/chamber looks like a mirror. Polished lots of other things, where ever I spotted metal to metal contact. Gun is now incredibly smooth from loading to racking the slide to firing. Happy customer here.
The installation video is very helpful. My husband and I both have hand problems and were able to install it all ourselves. I would highly recommend this for anyone that has a problem pulling the factory trigger spring.
I installed the kit following the video instructions. It was perfect and had no problems at all. The kit performed great reduced the pull from 6.5 lbs to 3.8 lbs. Great job engineering dept.
I purchased this as my micro 9 trigger was off the charts hard to pull. After installing this kit, the gun would not function, the slide could barely be pulled back over the trigger. After troubleshooting I finally replaced the mcarbo trigger spring with the original and that allowed the gun to cycle correctly. The kit did nothing that I could notice ( all that was left installed was the firing pin spring and the sear spring). The mcarbo hammer spring from the kit almost did. To want to come out of the hole where it was inserted. The original was very loose in the hole, so I imagine the kit spring could not compress when the hammer was pulled back, causing the entire assembly, from the spring up to the trigger to force the slide into not functioning properly. I have contacted the vendor 2 times via email without any response. I could not personally recommend this kit. I ended up filing on the sear and the hammer where they meet. This worked incredibly well and it is actually fun to shoot now. Do not buy this kit
Installation went fine. The video was very helpful. Only problem was my gun had hogue grips and they had to come off to remove spring housing. Did not realize grips hold safety in place. Lost the safety spring for a short time. So took a little longer to install.
Product arrived fast, in a few days. Haven't had the chance to install yet, but quality looks good. I believe that this will be a great addition to my pistol!!
My factory trigger was over 7 lbs, my weights only go to 7, and this kit took it down to 4 1/4. this is a good value and I would buy again.
I have two micro 9 raptors, changed out the springs, lost the safety detent spring and plunger my fault. Removed it from my other pistol. Finished it up and you can not tell which one has the springs put in it. Very disappointed, and now I’m down one because of the lost spring. Wasted time and money!
I was disappointed with my Kimber Micro 9 trigger pull. It was rough and hard to pull so much that it would pull me off target. I bought the upgrade kit and installed it. I also polished the sear somewhat and now with a 3.5 lb pull, the gun is a pleasure to shoot. I highly recommend this upgrade
Installed the Kimber Micro 9 Trigger spring kit and maybe got a 1 lb reduction in trigger pull. Tried 3 times to contact MCarbo via phone to see if I was missing something in the install. Although the phone message promises to get back in 24-48 hours, I never received a call back. Product not working is one thing but lousy customer service - no excuse in my book.
Ordered the kit 10 minutes before ordering three extra mags from Kimber. Received the kit in four days along with many appreciated tracking updates. Less than 45 minutes to install and made me feel like a master gunsmith. Reduced trigger pull from 7 to 3.8lbs. The price is great why am I paying $160 for an Apex trigger for my M&Ps when this only costs $25? Someone isn’t taking advantage of their customers (Mcarbo for the short bus riders). Although Perhaps I belong in the short bus after buying 3 Apex triggers. Just for the record I’m still waiting for my mags or info regarding them from Kimber (Day 11). Thanks for a great experience and product.
Sorry fellas …. Forgot to hit the stars on my review.
Start out with the fact this household has 3 micro 9s with the old trigger kit. (hammer and firing pin springs) Excellent. I purchased this kit thinking, "this is going to further improve the trigger?" I figured, lets give it a try. The feel is not that good and the primer strike is so light failure to fire is about 90%. Put the same rounds in another mirco 9 with the old Mcarbo kit and magic. Gee, did I do it right? According to to the video yes. I have done at lease 50 trigger jobs in a multitude of 1911s, Ruger, S&W as well as long guns. Bring the old kit back as an option, I have a couple more people with Micros who will need triggers.
Everything was actually easy, just small pieces and big hands was the hardest part but still easy. Functionality is spot on, thank y’all for such a video and excellent parts!!!!
