I installed this spring kit in my Marlin 795 a couple of years ago, and it was a Significant Improvement over the factory trigger pull. I would say the pull was at least 2 lbs. lighter. I also install a Mcarbo Spring Kit in my Remington 597 at around the same time with the same great results!

Fast forward to today,, I recently bought a take down Marlin Papoose 70ssp. Its factory trigger was so, so at best, so I decided to get another Marlin Spring Kit for it as well. Once again this kit was a Huge improvement over the Factory Trigger.

Its really amazing how just changing out a few springs can make such a big improvement in the trigger pull!

Watching the online Installation Video makes installing the kit easy,, it took me maybe 20 minutes to do mine,, and dealing with Mcarbo is a true joy! It would be NICE if ALL company's had the "Customer Comes First" attitude that Mcarbo has!! Thanks Mcarbo for yet another PERFECT Kit, and another PERFECT Transaction!

Got the (2) parts kits. Installed on one rifle (about 30 minutes) first. Worked great. Now installed (about 15 minutes) on the second rifle. Will run both rifles at a 4H Shoot on Monday.

Installation was fairly straight forward. Except for the hammer spring. The hammer spring was a PITA. Great kits!

btw....2nd. day priority mail took 4 days. Thanks.

I have had the 795 for years and really didn't like the heavy trigger. So did some research and bought this kit. Followed the instructions and installed it. Now the trigger feels much better!

I ordered the spring kit on Aug 13/18 and received it on Aug 23/18. The guys at MCARBO emailed me a number of times to see if I had received it. I appreciate their commitment to customer service. I installed the spring kit while watching the installation video. I haven't been out to the range yet but just dry firing the rifle I can feel a noticeable improvement on the trigger function. P. S. I'm from Canada so I'm pretty sure that's why it took longer than normal for shipping.

I was very happy with the speed of shipping and the overall quality of the springs in the kit. It's very helpful to watch the install videos along with a good polishing of pivot points. This is an excellent company to deal with and no way could I have reduced the pull weight to what I ended up with without them. A stoning of the sear and hammer helped too.

Fast delivery good customer service, install it was easy video was good. Just make sure your cap on hammer spring is the right way. And disconnect drops in proper. Put little grease on the end it will hold in place. Plymouth

Great set of springs. Installation video is awesome but doesn't cover very early Marlins. I have a Glenfield 70 (Gen 1) with no LSHO or manual bolt hold open. The leg of the sear spring must be be bent a bit more and trimmed a bit to work properly as it hooks through a hole rather than resting across the detent shaft. All-in-all a great kit to upgrade an already great rifle.

The 795 kit worked great in both of my 795’s. Trigger pulled dropped significantly, making both Marlins tack drivers.

I ordered these items after contacting customer service about my gun. (It is older thsn dirt...). I was assured that the spring group and trigger would fit my gun, and the parts did fit. I also received a link to installation instructions, which is where I ran into a bit of difficulty. The instructions are for a MUCH newer gun than the gun I own.

I worked through the differences, and was able to install the components in about an hour, which included some pretty significant time cleaning the existing parts.

The existing trigger pulled a little over 6 pounds; sorry folks, I don't own a digital trigger scale. After installing the new parts, the trigger pulled at slightly over 3 pounds. (See previous sentence regarding lack of a digital measure of trigger pull weight...). This was close to a 50% improvement in my trigger.

So, I cased the gun and headed to the range. I shot 5 groups of 3 rounds each, and had 4 of the five groups making one hole at 25 yards. The first group was the worst (about 5/8"), and was followed by a scope-focusing moment, which brought the rounds into one hole groups.

Bottom line-I could not be happier with the performance of my rifle. The ONLY reason, admittedly a very picky reason, the review is not 5 stars, is the dated nature of the install info provided. If a couple of generations of rifles were referenced, I think it would be very helpful. (I am pretty sure the folks at the company did not believe anyone owned a rifle as old as mine, but I tend to hang onto my guns!)

The time from ordering to receiving my order was absolutely outstanding, as was the time it took to get a response to my questions. Great product, excellent service, and slightly dated instal info. All things considered, I would order from this company again without hesitation!
