I finally got around to weighing the trigger pull on my 92FS. The double action is now 6.2# to 6.5# and the single action is 3.1# to 3.5# after installing the kit. Definitely worth it!
The video was great and walked me through the whole process. I think the results were worth the effort. Very sweet SA pull! But man! I was a 10-level armorer in the Army and thought I knew *something* about the M9. My training did not even get me close to this stuff. After seven hours from start to finish, I am as intimately familiar with this firearm as anyone could ever hope to be. Working with the Beretta can be frustrating, though. I now understand why gunsmiths charge $100 per hour :') NOTE: Please do not have a "cuss jar" in the room when you are dealing with the sear spring re-install: You'll go broke putting dollar bills in that thing :') All that said, if you own an M9 (or in my case, an INOX 92FS), you will appreciate learning how it functions on the inside and how to articulate its strengths. This firearm is truly a masterpiece. And Chris; video walks you through the entire process very clearly. Quick shipping, great customer service, and fantastic feedback. Had to call them today about a striker spring question on an MP 45. The guys had me squared away and on my way within three mikes, man. I love these dudes! Peace
I bought my first handgun and heard good things about this kit, so I went with it because I wanted to get my hands into my gun to learn some things about the inner workings as well as improve what I could. Installation wasn't too bad going in after watching the tutorial twice. The springs are nice and robust and give a very noticeable difference in the trigger pull to make it smoother and easier. It was a good learning experience getting to know the workings of the gun and I would definitely be using this kit and metal guide rod again if I get another 92FS.
Excellent upgrade for my M9. Installation is pretty straightforward, especially if you follow the videos, which are very helpful. End result was overall great feel and smoothness!
The springs fit perfectly and made a huge difference. Deburr the trigger transfer bar. Polish the hammer and sear. And, this kit will make an appreciable difference in lowering trigger pull and crispness. All for 30 bucks. Tip: place firearm inside a zipped freezer bag before attempting to remove the decocker lever and both plungers and springs. Or, be prepared to search your carpet for parts.
I installed this kit on my Taurus PT92, the install was just a tad different due to the safety location, but other than that, the slide feels good, the trigger feels extremely good, can’t wait to take it out to the range and try it out. Thanks mcarbo!
Install was easy enough if you have the roll pins, the video directions were easy to follow. I took the time to do all the polishing as shown and the trigger pull is so much better with all the changes. Now if only there was a flare for the mag well.
WOW! Actually no more needs to be said. This kit transformed my Italian made 92A1 from a stapler, to a smooth running silky machine. I mean it's like Santa Claus stole my stapler and left a masterpiece. Thank you for taking the time to fix Berettas horrible trigger. I'm down to 1 pound 11 ounces in single action, and 5.5 pounds in double action. Followed your absolutely excellent tutorial video, and polished the crap out of the hammer and sear contact points. As well as a few other areas where steel was meeting steel. My buddies almost 2000 dollar Wilson combat Beretta doesn't feel this good. Thanks again.
Wow! Installed the pro trigger kit into my 92FS and now it feels like how I always wished it did. Went to the range and it was like I just spent money on a new gun. Thanks M*Carbo for also providing the amazing video which provided a lot of confidence when tackling this upgrade as it was the first time completely going through the entire gun.
This is an outstanding upgrade for my 92! The instructional video is great, and the results were far better than I expected. I first only changed the springs and noticed improvement. Then, I disassembled again and did the polishing recommended in the video - exceptional difference! Then, being a bit of a tinkerer, I probably went overboard and polished nearly every contact surface in the trigger group: the Hammer Spring guide (all around where it contacts the hammer), the Hammer Pin and inside the Hammer channel for the pin, the 'shoulders' of the hammer that might contact the inside of the frame, the Trigger pin, the pin on the trigger bar, and the sear pin. I also polished the slide parts covered in the video, plus the locking block (just those sections inside the slide, not the parts that are exposed when the block operates) and the hammer release lever & firing pin catch lever where they contact the locking block. Gave everything a light coat of Mobil 1 grease and reassembled. All this 'overboard' work did indeed make a noticeable difference. The work does require a certain level of mechanical aptitude, but should be easily within reach of many owners.
Your video was a tremendous help, and your product worked great. Thank you for your excellent service and service to our country.
Springs worked perfectly in a Girsan Regard MC. The installation video was very helpful and the springs improved the stock trigger pull, DA and SA, tremendously.
The trigger pull in my Girsan Regard is so much better now. The installation video is amazing and easy to follow. I do recommend to use a 2 gallon ziplock bag when uninstalling and installing certain parts as springs will go flying. Also, for the Regard, the extractor pin is a roll pin and different than the Beretta. The 3/32 punch won't fit like it does in the video so I used the 1/16 punch and I was careful and went slowly so as to not bend the punch. A gun vice or a third hand would also make this process a lot easier. The DA trigger is buttery smooth now and the SA is on par with some of my CZ's. I definitely recommend this kit.
I just finished installing this kit on my Girsan Regard (Turkish clone of the Beretta 92). WOW - What a Difference! The factory trigger on the Regard wasn't bad, but now it is a whole different ballgame. And the MCARBO installation video was a lifesaver. It doesn't cover the decocker that is on the Regard, but there are several videos out there that do. For the Regard, there are a few differences from the Beretta. First, for some reason the Turks seem to love rollpins - on the extractor and the mainspring housing, they used them (which makes getting the mainspring plug reassembled a giant pain). Also, when re-installing the left side of the decocker/safety, I had to use a tool to move the firing pin forward out of the way (took me a while to figure that one out; apparently the Turkish firing pin is a bit longer than the Beretta) - I went in from the opening for the firing pin block. Finally, on the positive side, the Turks had already polished the sear, hammer engagement points and the top of the strut, so that saved a bit of time. In all, the Girsan is a little more of a pain than the Beretta, but installing the MCARBO kit has turned a low-cost 92 clone into a competition worthy pistol. Thanks Guys!
I think this kit is great and well worth the value! With the help of the instructional video it was a fairly easy project to do with the right tools. I went with the 12# hammer spring on my 92fs and it made the da trigger pull alot better! I know the single action pull is lighter as well but still not too light to be a surprise which I was worried about but this worked perfectly for my preference. Customer service is great as well as personal follow up to see how installation went, great company! Im happy and shooting it felt great!
Works fine, just flatten the kink on one side of the trigger spring. I had already polished/tuned the trigger group. Trigger was a clean 4.75 lbs sa. Now at 3.25 lbs sa. Recommended!
