I only needed the 4 tiny light springs to improve my 96a1. Chris has a great video to get the parts installed. Improved smoothness and lowered DA/SA trigger pull. Definitely makes a vast difference.
Installation only. I will visit the range on Monday and report my shooting experience. Today I installed my MCARBO Trigger Kit into my M9A1. Up front I want to share that for removing and installing the safety detents, I did the work inside a large zip lock bag. I learned to use the bag when installing the safety on my 1911s. I launched those detents a few times before I learned to use a credit card to hold the detent in the tube, gun in the bag while installing the safety. I’ve got thick fingers. I found installing the kit straight forward and not complicated. The only surprise I had was how cruddy the interior of my slide was. Pulling the gun down for this kit install also allowed me to do a deep clean. I also found the hammer spring well and behind the trigger to be very cruddy. Not so as to effect the operation. This gun is designed to run cruddy. I’m just a clean nut. I don’t own a pull gage, but, I cycled my pistol a number of times prior to takedown to lock into memory the feel of pulling the trigger in both SA and DA. I also polished the sear and hammer. The sear ledge on the hammer had a finger nail catching burr on the left end of the hammer catch. I removed the burr, polished both parts and applied a bit of grease. Very Nice, it was just nice to begin with. Following completion I cycle the pistol and can honestly say that the action is much improved in both trigger pull weights and smoothness of operation. Job well done MCARBO and Bryan P. Lookin forward to the range on Monday and reporting back.
Should come with the 3D printed block like the guy was using in the install video. Other than that, the kit is good quality and install was relatively easy. It does what it says and creates a noticeable lighter trigger pull in both double and single action.
I got the kit in the middle of the week. I could instantly feel the difference in the trigger and hammer. I wish I knew about this kit along time ago.
I decided to try this upgrade on a 92 clone, the Regard MC. All parts fit perfectly. So far the only diff between a Beretta and the Regard are the barrel lugs and slide cutout. The rest of the parts are the same. I ran 6 full mags after upgrade with no fails. Current DA = 7.5lbs very smooth, SA = 3.5lbs.
This kit along with the video was a very enjoyable project. I just followed the video. In places I had to watch it a few times but that made it more challenging and the video was excellent. I also bought the polishing kit, hammer, punches, and bench block, and I’m glad I did. Now I enjoy shooting my Beretta. I didn’t before. Now the trigger is just right, and the recoil is light and smooth.
The Mcarbo install videos are great, lead you thru every detail I put the pro trigger spring kit in a Beretta M9 worked awesome, shot about 50 rd thru it cycles perfect, great products, great veterans making the products in America, God Bless thanks for your service
Let's just say f!@}ing wow what a difference great double action pull, amazing single action pull. Feels like the I always wanted and now have. If you follow the video, take your time you will get great results. Now on to my Glock30!
Everything was perfect ! It improved the gun so much, the difference was night and day
First trigger kit I've ever seen for the Beretta 92. Had to try it. Not as much weight reduction as expected, but the difference is quite noticeable an worth every penny for the kit. Kudos for the instruction video, exceptionally well done. Trigger weights as measured SA before avg 5lb 10.5oz SA after avg 4lb 4.2oz DA before avg 10lb 2.0oz DA after avg 7lb 4.0oz
I purchased this trigger kit and installed it myself. I had never worked on a pistol and with the great video and parts, I was successful in doing it my self. The trigger feels great! Just what I imagined it would feel like! I’m a very happy customer!
I purchased the trigger kit and the stainless steel guide. I watched the Mcarbo video step by step. I would play a section that would instruct on how to do one step of the process. Perform that task. Play a little more and do the next task and so forth. The video is extremely detailed and I would say invaluable. I improvised a way not to lose the little springs that can be launched across a room. I used one of those clear plastic bags with zippers you get when you by a blanket. Cut slits on each side to stick my hands into it and was able to see what I was doing and did not worry about losing any springs. I also used it for polishing the search and trigger to keep the polishing media from flying around. The trigger weight was reduced by 4 pounds for both the single and double action. Wonderful product and highly recommend.
I order this kit a long with the stainless steel rod for the recoil spring. I am really impressed, with the kit and after watching a video MCarbo has has easy it was to install. This sixty year old is like an eight year old catching his or hers first three pound bass. The only draw back is I had to change my grip. My daughter who is 38, said to me after shooting it, want me to put a kit in her pistol. MCarbo went above my Expectations and thank you very much.
Over the past two months I have purchased spring kits for two Ruger Americans and a Beretta 92FS pro trigger kit. The Ruger springs were very simple and the full Beretta 92 pro kit was a little more in depth. The installation video was awesome, very well laid out with step by step instruction. Great products job well done.
Follow video step by step polish all parts recommended spent 20 to 25 minutes or less per part reassemble drastic improvement in double action . in single action had no way to check trigger pull but I'm guessing about 2 pounds under 21/2 pounds in the sweet sweet spot . I purchased polishing bits came in different sizes highly recommend. Purchase microfiber towels. Purchase fritz and mother's polish. Used dremel. And used gunsmith punch set . Here's picture.
Really helped me dial in my shooting. Not overly complicated to install. This takes you beyond operator level maintenance and makes the pistol YOURS. The installation video here goes above and beyond simply installing parts.
