I am extremely happy that i purchased and installed this kit. I followed the instructional video and it worked perfectly. The polishing also made a substantial difference. I would recommend this to anybody wanting to improve their shooting experience.

I purchased this along with the trigger upgrade kit and it has made a great gun even better. Functions as expected and looks way better than the polymer one.

Was fairly easy except for my sausage fingers. The Vidio saved me from a aw crap gunsmith basket case visit.

Dropped double action to 2/3 of stock.

Cut single action dramaticly

Didn't see a need to go hog wild on a big dollar trigger job as I'm way better with a shotgun..

Great Upgrade for an Unreal Price

I was a little wary that a trigger kit for such a low price could really make a difference. But I saw the positive reviews and figured I'd give it a shot. Now I know there was no reason to be wary. While the process of completely breaking down the gun and then reinstalling all the springs was tedious (getting the new sear spring in almost made me give up), it was well worth it. The double action pull is much better and the single action is very light and crisp. The M*CARBO instruction video was awesome. No way I could have done this without it. If you have the time and patience, this is a great upgrade for your 92FS. I also recommend doing the sanding and polishing shown on the video while you have the gun broken down. Makes a big difference. I also bought and installed the stainless steel guide rod. Made racking the slide much smoother (plus steel is always better than plastic).

Great Upgrade for my Girsan Regard

I installed the Mcarbo Beretta 92FS / M9 / 92 / 96 Pro Trigger Kit in my Girsan Regard. Delivery was fast and the installed product delivers great results and exceeded my expectations. I expect it will enhance my shooting experience on the range.

Details:

I installed this kit on my Girsan Regard Optics Ready pistol. Also, I chose the 12lb hammer spring. It took me about two hours. Chris's video tutorials are OUTSTANDING and a huge influence on my decision to try this product. Following his videos, I had no problems with the install. There were three minor differences between the Girsan and the Beretta but the process of disassembly/assembly was no different.

1. The Girsan has optics and OEM optics adapter plate which had to be removed

2. The Pin holding the hammer spring in place is a roll pin

3. The Pin holding the extractor in place is a roll pin unlike the Beretta solid pin with a head

Here are the vitals:

Spring Pull for Girsan Regard before upgrade:

Double action avg 5 pulls = 11 lbs 12.1oz

Single action avg 5 pulls = 3 lbs 8.9 oz

After Mcarbo Upgrade:

Double action avg 5 pulls = 7lbs 3.6oz (38% improvement)

Single action avg 5 pulls = 2 lbs 5.3oz (34% improvement)

Thanks to the Mcarbo Team and especially Chris Nelson. You have helped me make my inexpensive Girsan Regard trigger action feel like my expensive Beretta 92X Performance Defensive......... and I had fun doing it.

Used the kit on an old Taurus 92 with a "not so good trigger." The DA/SA was 9lbs/6lbs now it's 9lbs/4lbs. It's also smoother. GREAT KIT.

Unless you are a gunsmith you cannot install all the parts. My gun is a few years old and all the roll pins were frozen. I took hours to removes them and installing the sear spring was impossible. I never did install anything on the slide. I had to take the gun to a gunsmith to put it back together. The video was very incomplete as it looked like a new gun with too much time wasted on polishing.

The gunsmith block was useless as parts would not lay flat. A waste of money.

IMPROVES TRIGGER PULL

I HAD ALREADY POLISHED SEAR HAMMER TRIGGER BAR AND ALL OTHER MOVING PARTS WHICH REDUCED PULL WEIGHT FROM 5.5 TO 4.25 AND MUCH SMOOTHER.NEW KIT REDUCED PULL FROM 4.25 TO 3.5 WHICH IS BETTER BUT NOT 2.5 LBS.THAT IS THE ONLY REASON THAT I DID NOT GIVE 5 STARS.VIDEO ON INSTALL WAS PERFECT AND VERY USEFULL.

Seriously just buy it.

There was something that felt off with my 92 trigger. After using this kit, and the Wilson combat short reach trigger, the gun feels perfect.

Trigger is now amazing. It'll be the best $30 you'll spend on your gun.

Just do it

After watching the install video (nice job, as usual Chris) I finished installing this kit, the stainless steel guide rod and the factory "G" kit. In under an hour. Much smoother, very nice feel and a clean crisp trigger break. Pull was reduced in both DA & SA. Another outstanding kit from M Carbo!

Keeps me coming back

I have used these kits to upgrade customers guns at my shop. I was so impressed with the results I purchased a Girsan Regard to try it out. This works with the Regards and Berettas perfectly. This kit will get your sidearm squared away, because only a POG would be happy with a factory trigger.

M*Carbo Beretta Trigger Kit - Model 96A1

Review

I installed the trigger kit in my Beretta 96A1 last night. Using the video as a guide I got the replacement springs and a bit of polishing on the hammer & sear completed. The installation of the sear spring proved to be a bit challenging but after several attempts completed the task. The trigger pull weight came down to a much more managable just under 3 lbs which should help a great deal. I chose the 12 lb trigger spring which seemed about as stiff as the one I removed . . . but the objective was achieved.

I did have some challenges getting the pins out of my 96A1 for the safety ( I actually broke one of my good roll pin punches ) so I decided to leave the slide changes alone for the time being.

I did order the SS guide rod as well and along with the spring supplied as part of the trigger upgrade replaced the "captive guide rod & spring" that came with my 96A1. It seems to cycle properly . . . at least when operating the slide manually. We will have to see how well it works under live fire operation. "If" it does not work well I will update this review and let everyone know the results.

Good kit . . . fairly easy to install except for that sear spring. One needs four very tiny hands to hold the frame, keeping the spring in place, while the third hand compressed the spring, and the forth to push the pin through. I must have spent a good 45 minutes and as many attempts, but finally managed to get it installed.

I use factory 165 & 180 grain ammo in this firearm so will see how everything works in an upcoming range session.
