First you need to drill holes in your buttstock ruining your gun. Second, once the stock is mounted it will block the hole for your spring and bolt in the rear of your stock to disassemble your new weapon. You would need to have a drill on you if you wish to clean it lot take it apart. Not great at all
As others warned you, nearly hard. Will likley last forever. Requires drilling to install, but MCARBO videos are thorough. Extends length of pull which some may not want. Is the right balance of slick vs sticky to mount & shoulder well. I may convert to a softer slip on eventual and remove this one. If it actually absorbed any recoil, I'd like it better.
My finished product was a little crooked and I ended up filing some slots to get the nuts to fit. I am a decent mechanic and machinist but could have done better with this one. The hard thing is getting the round bosses on the new butt stock lined up with the wedge-shaped features on the factory butt stock. The next difficult thing is getting the holes drilled accurately in the small wedge shaped features. I would pay extra for a separate drill jig molded to fit the factory stock to make the hole locations more accurate and easier to drill. Or maybe the new butt stock could have features that fit the factory butt stock that could be cut off after drilling.
The butt stock is my 9th or so upgrade for my sub2k and there's not a lot I get excited about in life but I do when I do mcarbo upgrades. I'd bet money in 1 week my sub2k will be the baddest sub2k in Indiana thanks to mcarbo.
I've got a 40 caliber Sub2000. I installed this buttstock pad today along with a couple of other MCARBO upgrades. The installation is a little tricky but I took my time. I drilled 1/4" holes into the OEM stock taking care not to nick it with the drill bit. I then used a small rotary file to increase the holes just large enough to seat the new pad. It's a simple upgrade but looks and feels more comfortable. I also added the recoil urethane rubber buffer at the same time. Recoil is not negligible. Super products and outstanding service and delivery.

Great butt stock, fits like a dream and is a perfect addition to my Sub 2K. The video is a great help.
This is a much needed addition to the SUB2K. The extra comfort from the extra length of Pull the buttock gives you.
Awesome recoil pad! Easy enough to install!
I ordered this product due to the written description. However, if you use the short and medium length butt configuration, as I do, this will not work. This pad is for the longest configuration only. This issue is not stated in any of the written material. If you watch the install video, as I did after my purchase, this problem is explained there. I ended up using my bench grinder to open a rounded groove to expose the Buffer and allow for folding. The pad still works and feels great. Just downgraded stars for the missing configuration description.
In short, the buttstock / pad extension for the SUB 2000 does what is advertised. It turns an uncomfortable to shoot firearm into something tolerable that provides enough room to get a good cheek weld on. This simple product keeps me from tossing my SUB 2000. Installation where I had to modify my firearm was completely unexpected though. For the record, that's NOT MCarbo's issue. THAT's on me for not researching the installation video before buying as I hadn't seen ANY kind of SUB 2000 buttstock extension from the manufacturer or anything else and this company came HIGHLY recommended. As for the video... just be prepped to go past the 8-10 minutes of the optic mounting system that's under development. It's good to see the genuine excitement from a company like this. It's obvious these guys are into their products, want the best for their customers, and have some neat stuff on the horizon. Watch them.
Easy install and works good and I expect it to last a long time.
Very happy with the end product. Functions perfectly! I did end up scratching the sides of my buttstock a little when the 1/4" drill bit punched through. Folds in half perfectly if you're willing to keep the stock at the longest setting (which is the most comfortable for me). Definitely worth the $.
The rear butt pad make a nice soft butt pad, after shooting a bunch of rounds it goes softer on you sholder
Just received the part and couldn't wait to get inside and install it. It was exactly what I was looking for and fit like a glove. Excellent product and addition to the SUB-2000!!!!!!
I plan on ordering other parts for my KelTec 2000 until I get it to be the best KelTec money can buy. One part at a time.
