Nice kit. Not bad to install. Dropped trigger pull by 2# on double and single pull.
I bought the kit for the sp101 and the polish kit. I took my time and followed along with the video on youtube. The starting trigger pull was 14 pounds, and the finish trigger pull was 5 pounds. I used all of the shims provided. It took me several hours of pure enjoyment, and I got very familiar with the firearm. This kit is a must have!
I ordered 3 kit far the above mentioned. I’ve only done the SP101 so far and it made a huge difference. The kits arrived 2 days sooner than expected and the customer service and follow up have been the best I’ve ever experienced. Awesome company that I’ll go to first for my purchases
Easy installation, good video. Got the pull down to 3lbs with the hammer cocked. There was a problem with the order, it got corrected with no problems. Did 3 guns.

I gave this product 5-stars for the walk through video alone. I could not take advantage of the spring kit and spacers because my Ruger is an older model Security Six. However, it shares a lot with the SP 101 and this has been the best video yet on giving an old gal some new tweaks. I have a tip when reinstalling the paul spring and detent: Use a twist tie to hold the trigger back while doing the reinstallation. This frees up both your hands to do the work. And work under a plastic bag. That little dude will leave you in a quick way, and having the replacement parts shipped to you will cost more than the parts themselves (IF they are in stock...) Be well!
AWESOME! I received the kits and completed the trigger job on my SP101 TALO Limited Edition. BUTTER!! So much so that my wife told me to buy a second Ruger SP101 for her to replace her Colt King Cobra (which has a very nice stock trigger, actually). I also met a new friend of a friend today with two SCCY pistols. He was bragging about the trigger job that he did on one of them. I compared them both. He said… "Did you ever hear of M*CARBO?... I got their springs and supplies and followed their videos and, Dang!". The YouTube videos convinced me that I *should* do this and also that I clearly *could* do it myself. I had the video playing along side at my bench as I did the work. It was like having a master mentor their guiding me through the "Trigger Therapy" session. Very enjoyable. Way to go, guys! The spring kit made a world of positive difference to my Ruger GP100.
It has been a few months since I purchased the spring kit and the polishing kit together. I sat down with a cold drink and tore into my SP101 using the video as a reference. Everything went very smoothly and the parts polished nicely. The gun went back together with the new springs and all the shims. The shims are a little tricky to line up, especially for the hammer, but completely attainable. The springs, along with the polishing, turns these pistols into a nice shooter. So far, I have purchased 2 flat triggers, a trigger spring kit, the titanium striker kit , and now the spring and shim kit and polishing kit. All from Mcarbo. Not one has failed me or disappointed me. If you have an SP101 or GP101, the spring and shim kit , and the polishing kit are a must! Thank you Mcarbo for providing these products!
I just installed the trigger upgrade spring kit to my 6 inch GP100. I have been polishing the out side but never yhe trigger /hammer groups. OMG! Watched the video step by step. Silky smooth pull. Cant wait to get it to the range. First Class
I cannot think of a single firearm upgrade that does more to improve it for such a small price. Within an hour of receiving this spring and shim kit I had everything installed and polished for an OUTSTANDING trigger pull... Oh, so light and crisp! Following the excellent instructions in your video, I polished the innards of my Ruger SP 101 in 357 and installed the spring kit. I won't say it was easy but if I can do it, so can you. The change was remarkable. My wife's reaction was, "It's smoother than your old K-38 (1968 vintage with countless rounds through it). The single action trigger pull is a crisp 3 lbs 7 oz. I took it to the range yesterday and it shoots great too. Thanks guys.
