I wanted a 2nd SP101 because I love the size and weight but wanted a 4" as well as the 2.5". I had such success with this trigger spring kit the first time I bought it again, went through the install video a second time. This really does make an amazing difference and if you enjoy working with your hands this install is actually a lot of fun and gives you a different relationship to your firearm.

Excellent service and very reasonable price.
Very please with shipping follow up on purchased product.
Superb instructional video on take down and reassembly.
Installation of the parts went without any problems with the help of the video.
Result are better that I was hoping for, 48% reduction in trigger pull.
Bottom line, will recommend your company and will be purchasing from you again.

Ruger GP100 22LR Trigger Spring Kit - Possible Ruger Issue

Installation of the kit in conjunction with the polishing procedures yields a much smoother action, as advertised.

CAUTION - The 22LR version requires a 3/16" drill bit with 1000 grit sand paper to smooth the trigger spring/latch boring in the trigger frame. The video instructs you to use a larger drill bit for the large caliber versions of this revolver.

If you are unfortunate to have your trigger latch hole in the main frame poorly machined by Ruger as mine was you will have to do some extensive grinding and polishing to allow the trigger latch to properly seat in the frame and allow the trigger mechanism to fully function. Honestly, I do not know how Ruger got this latch to extend enough to allow the trigger to pull all the way back with the extreemly poor/rough boring in the frame. If you see this very jagged trigger latch hole after you struggle to remove the trigger group initially....take it to a gunsmith if you do NOT have experience with precision machining and fitting......don't take the chance on ruining a good weapon. It took me about 4 hours of grinding and reshaping with a 3/16" diameter Dremel sharpening stone followed by metal polishing to properly reseat the trigger assembly.

Thi issue is NOT a problem with MCARBO! It was a poor quality machining job by Ruger. Be careful and aware of this possible issue if you venture to do this upgrade. It is worth the effort.

    Worth the effort, but...

beware this install will test your manual dexterity. The video was invaluable and you can't fail following along, that said, he makes it look A LOT easier to do that it really is.

    Fantastic DIY upgrade!

This kit was really easy to install with just a few basic tools. The upgrade video on the website is also a great guide for some simple sanding and polishing you can do to the internal parts before reassembly to further enhance the action of your Ruger revolver. The action on my SP-101 is much lighter and smoother. Very cool kit.
