Massive Improvement
Ruger GP100,
Double Action,
Before - double action pull was over what my scale could read.
After - 7 lbs.
Single Action,
Before - 6 lbs.
After - 2.5 lbs. with stoning and polishing.
Better than expected
I knew it would be an improvement, but wow. So happy I did this
new pistol
My wife and I purchased a Ruger SP101 3", for home defense for her I did not like the trigger pull at all, but she could not even pull the trigger,(little lady), so I purchased your Ruger SP101 / GP100 Trigger Spring Kit, and polishing kit., the trigger and the hammer are just right just like the video said, now I fill confident, that she will be safe real nice.
This is the second kit I’ve used
I just finished up my second trigger job using this mcarbo spring and shim kit. The first was an sp101 357mag snub nose, this second one is a gp100 357mag 6” barrel. I’ve done trigger jobs before with springs from other places. But this spring kit with the shims is the only way to go! I did my sp101 a few years ago, and it’s my edc still today. But I’m a little more impressed with job I did on my gp100, unlike the sp101 it had a decent trigger to start with, but it’s even better now! I also polished the whole gun on the gp100. Here’s before and after pics.
Fast service!
I ordered a trigger spring kit and it was delivered just 2 days later. Very quick, and the quality seems to be top notch. Would order again.
SP-101 trigger job
Done in 2021. Replaced spring & polished bearing surfaces. Took about 7 hours of work mainly because I was clumsy in disassembling and reassembling. but was eventually successful. Followed the online video instructions which were excellent. Reduced original DA trigger pull to 5.5-6.0 lb. Reduced SA trigger pull to 3.5 lb. Revolver is now much smoother and more accurate. Thanks, guys. Rangers lead the way!
Always top notch quality
Makes my SP101 respond like a premium revolver. As always quality is top notch along with service. It’s the only aftermarket parts that I will use at this time. It’s always my first go to for premium parts.
Great kit !!
Put the trigger kit in for a customer and they loved it , great kit everything you need to make a good gun great !!
Will the SP101 trigger spring kit work on my DA only spur-less hammer Ruger SP101?
Sp101 in .327, awful trigger (horribly manufactured), had gunsmith change to different brand springs, much lighter than the originals I think, now light hammer strikes on some factory and a lot of reloads.
Question 1) Will these springs work on SP101 in .327?
2) Any idea on reloads? Just as a note, my Ruger LCR in .327 has no issue with my reloads….
My 357 sp101 puts a good size dimple in every primer it’s hit with this kit, reloads and factory new.

Hi. Will this will work on the 9mm SP101 also?
Thanks
I have a GP100 in 44special. You are not showing that caliber. Will the .357 spring kit work?

We have not tested our springs with that caliber so we cannot verify that you will see the same results with your model.
I see two trigger return springs in the Ruger GP101/100 trigger spring kit. I've looked in the printable instructions and watched the video but don't see anything about why .

We found with testing and research that Ruger was inconsistent with which spring they used in different models, so we include two different options in our spring kit for you to use the one that fits better in your firearm!
The newer GP100s use a slightly shorter trigger return spring than older GPs. The SP101 uses the longer one.
