I got a great deal on a 1987 vintage GP100 in 357, and even though it was a great shooter, I wanted to clean up the action and drop the DA pull weight down a bit from its gritty 8.4-pounds. Having already installed Mcarbo parts in many of my guns, the trigger spring kit was a no-brainer. The installation was a bit long, since I also did all the action work as in the video -- and I noted there were quite a few small detail differences between my GP100 and the one used as the example revolver. Still, the parts went in without issue, the rough edges smoothed out, and when it was all done, my DA pull is now a smoooooth 5.8 pounds, and the SA pull dropped to a super crispy 1.8-pound break (from 2.6-pounds before the parts and work). Once again, Mcarbo has come through with a quality kit at a bargain price. thanks!
This is my 3rd MCARBO trigger kit I’ve purchased. It, along with the polishing kit, made an amazing difference in both the DA & SA trigger pull on my SP 101 357 Mag. I also previously purchased kits for my Browning FN Hi Power and my Tikka T-3 with the same awesome results. Would highly recommend these to anyone who appreciates a quality trigger. Loved the polishing kit and the shims provided. Worked out well on double action but the single action was still a little stiff. That is to be expected for a rimfire setup to maintain reliable ignition. Overall nice kit and I love the guys at M CARBO. I used my first kit on my .357 SP 101 and the difference was amazing. Little over 6 lb. DA pull, 2-3 lb. SA. Easy fix if you take your time and follow instructions. Worked so well I decided to do my GP100 .44 special. Same results only a bit smoother trigger pull. Guess I’m getting better at polishing. 1 more Sp 101 and a pair of GP 100s next up. Great product at a reasonable price.
Arrived ahead of schedule, well packaged. The install videos are thorough, but I really like the fact that you can print a hard copy to reference during install. Great value.
Just finished installing the kit and the result is amazing. Cut the trigger pull from 10 lbs to 5 1/2 and smooth as silk. Trigger and hammer wobble eliminated. Deburred and polished the crown. The instruction video was the best I have ever seen. It was clear and concise with great camera work. The polishing and deburring accessories really made the job easy to complete. All I needed to buy was a feeler gauge and 17/64 drill bit. This was the first revolver I have worked on and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. Finished it off with a Hogue man grip and can't wait to get to the range. I will definitely be buying your products in the future. You get an AA+ rating.

I’ve never full disassembled my Ruger SP101 but after seeing the step by step video by mcarbo hosted by Chris Nelson on utube, I was fully confident I could do the spring and the parts polishing upgrade. I took a little longer than the video but for a first timer it went better than expected. And same with the results. My groupings after the upgrade have never been as tight. Trigger smoothness and ease is much improved. And it was good before. I just ordered the mcarbo upgrade for my Sig P938. And with the help of Chris Nelson’s mcarbo step by step instruction video I’m sure this upgrade will be just as much fun. With positive results. Polishing the parts turned out to be just as much fun as Chris described it to be. Thank you mcarbo and Chris Nelson!

Great customer service Fast shipping Quality shim's Installing spring/shim kit on ruger sp101 was simple, Hardest part for me was reinserting the trigger assembly. Trigger pull has been reduced signifcantly!! I did not polish any part's yet, but i did deburr with wet/dry 600 i'll polish it when i get my new drilmel. I can now cycle my action and feel it move thru it's stages and bring it up to its single action stage to fire. "So far all shots went BANG!!!" I can now hold a pattern when shooting. Before i had a bad shot gun. PS. Can't wait to take it apart aand polish the action now it will smooth.
The parts arrived in good condition. It was trigger spring kit for a Ruger SP101 and I have installed the new springs as well as polishing some of the easier to reach parts. I didn't install shims or completely disassemble the trigger due to a lack of confidence in my gunsmithing prowess, which is minimal. However the work that I did do made a dramatic improvement in the action of the revolver by substantially reducing trigger & hammer pull weight about 40% and improving smoothness as well. I fired 45 cci 500 primed cases without a misfire or failure of the trigger to return so all seems to be well. My wife is much happier with it now.
Started with an 11 lb D/A and a 5.5” lb. S/A pull. End with 5 lb D/A & 3 lb S/A. What a difference! Used the trigger shims but not the hammer shims. Ruger modified the hammer and it comes with shims. The polishing took a while but well worth the extra work. Highly recommend.
