Perfectly designed tool for removing the KSG barrel nut. Nice finish.
After ordering the muzzle brake and receiving it I realized that I had forgotten the socket. Yes, you could manage to get the thread protector off the KSG with out it but will probably damage things in the process so in lieu of that I bought the socket. Other than adding a few more days of wait time for mounting the Sherman Tank muzzle brake it worked exactly as advertised.
The Barrel Nut Socket is very nicely made and works great. I used it with my 20v cordless impact wrench. Took the nut right off, couldn't have been easier.
Good way to get the barrel nut off without mangling the gun.
This socket is very well made and fit the six-point nut on my KSG nicely. DeWalt 1/2" impact driver removed nut with no problem. The only downside is the 1/2" sq drive needs to be deeper to accommodate the length of the drive on the tools. You have to only inset the drive part way. This did not present any problem for the impact driver, but anyone using a breaker bar may experience some difficulties.
Just what I needed to get the barrel nut off. Keltec made a very shallow nut so it is hard to even get this over it and get enough torque applied, but after maneuvering around, I was able to finally get it. Great, well made product.

Use impact wrench and save yourself the pain. 5 second removal!
Doesn't just slip on, requires a light tap with a hammer. This makes it tough to get the nut out of the socket but also the tight fit helps with loosening the nut which is pretty tight on the KSG. Perfect fit in my opinion.
This is perfect for either removing or attaching the barrel nut as there is no other way without damaging something!
I finally got all of my upgrade parts installed on my KEL TEC KSG and it looks pretty awesome. All accessories appear to be very well made and with the video assist for installation, you can’t go working with MCARBO.
Very satisfied with this tool and M Carbo, good pricing and a fast delivery and great follow-up, thank you. My only complaint is that the magazine plug wrench is not available anywhere in the U.S., found them in Canada, but they won't ship to the U.S., so I improvised and it was all good. I also got the vise block, and I was impressed with the quality of both for the price.
