very happy with the transaction the article of good quality and very fast mail I give 5 stars
Could not be happier with the way this simple spring replacement performs! My M70 went from a nearly 7lb trigger pull to a perfectly clean and crisp 2.4lbs. This was always a great shooting rifle but it's now so much easier to be consistent. Don't waste your money on a new trigger until you at least try this simple fix first.
Pristine condition 1993 model 70 300 win mag.....gorgeous gun with a crap trigger. Now it’s amazing!!!
As most reviews show, this product can reduce the trigger pull on a Winchester Model 70. My Winchester 70 belonged to my father and is from the mid 50s to early 60s. It was likely never touched prior to my installation. Trigger pull prior to installation averaged 4 lbs 8 oz, after installation averaged 2 lbs 13 oz, so a significant improvement. Very clean break. Installation was easy and the directions were clear. The only thing I would recommend would be adding torque specs for the trigger casing and stock.
My 80’s era model 70 feather weight factory trigger was 4.5-5.5 very inconsistent pounds. Easy change out and now I have a 2.5 pound consistent (2.4-2.6) trigger. This is a hunting rifle so it is plenty light for what I was trying to accomplish. Well worth the $. I appreciate the the video it is very easy to follow and explains install and how to eliminate the creep.
Easy to install and works just like it's supposed to!
My father bought a model 70FW for me when I was 14 in 1962. I've always thought it was capable of more accuracy than I could get from it but for the really heavy trigger. I looked at a number of more expensive options before running into this one and thought 'how could I go wrong for $12?' I was both a pistol and rifle competitor over the years and I think I know what a really good trigger should feel like. The M70 now breaks somewhere between 1.5 and 2lbs, about like my High Standard target auto, only with zero movement. The M70 now has a really good trigger, a shade under a top-flight target gun, to be sure but far better than most modern hunting rifles. I am very pleased. One thing concerning the video: when adjusting a nut, any nut, use the proper size wrench...not pliers...NEVER pliers...just don't. My dad spent most of his life as a pro mechanic and this was one of his pet peeves...and mine.
Trigger spring was easily installed in about 20 minutes. The video is perfect and you can't go wrong if you just go by the steps. Great advise guys, I 'll be back. Thank you
Awesome improvement! Went from just over 5 pounds to just over 2 now. Thanks guys.
This spring was very easy to install, along with the video. I used the spring on a 1970-vintage Winchester Model 670 Carbine in .270 Winchester. Although the safety was on the tang (early models had it there), the same basic architecture was present as on the Model 70s. Just make sure to function and most of all safety test the piece (with the action mounted in the stock, hit the buttstock's butt onto carpeted flooring to see if the striker fires). Just by putting in the spring, the trigger pull went from 6-1/2 pounds to 3-1/2 pounds. I also adjusted the trigger's overtravel (per the video) to make the hitherto "so-so" carbine into a serious "truck gun". Buy with confidence!
Just added one of these to my 1966 in 300 win mag. Tigger drop from 5 to 6 pounds to around 2 and half for me but I didn't bottom out but and tennison screw. I highly recommend this spring kit.
That was very easy to upgrade the trigger spring, my pull went from 6.5 to 2.5 ,I like it. Your video for the replace was a great help...thank you
Ordered on Wed, received on Fri, installed on Sun and shot on Mon... all I can say is WOW. The best upgrade I have ever made to a rifle. Trigger pull came in at a smoooooth 2lbs and my 1978 '06 is completely dialed in for elk season. If you're thinking about this upgrade, stop thinking and just place the order... you won't be disappointed... to say I'm completely satisfied is an understatement! '
This kit arrived quickly. It is very simple to install. Trigger pull was reduced from 5 pounds to 2.5 pounds and is very smooth. Nice part. glad to business again.
super easy to install, eliminating the two jam nuts takes the mystery out of it. Light crisp trigger tightened up my groups considerably
This spring worked great for my needs. I was afraid it would be too light, but I left one of the stock nuts on the trigger spring post, and it lowered my trigger pull to just a hair under 3 pounds which is exactly where I like them. Sweet!
