Review
Got the spring installed on my pre 2008 model 70. Haven't been able to shoot yet, but it feels great and consistent. Don't see any issues for shooting
After replacing the spring, the trigger is lighter and smoother to pull.
Factory spring was almost 6 pounds, first spring I ordered from M Carbo brought it down to 4 1/2 pounds called M Carbo and received good customer service, got another spring which brought it down to 3 1/2 pounds and then installing this spring on my favorite hunting rifle I am very pleased with the trigger now. I gave four stars only because I had to install it twice. Very customer service and will be doing business with M Carbo in the future. Sincerely, Glenn A. Temples, Lexington, SC
I have used this trigger spring in several Winchester rifles now and they work great. The last one had a 6lbs factory trigger pull. With swapping out the springs, it now has a 2.25lbs trigger pull. Great product!
these trigger springs is worth every penny what a nice trigger i now have with every pull, the trigger springs that come with the older guns are way to tuff you could set these triggers now with no more worries i wish i would have known about these springs a long time ago and the video was a big help thank you Miller Stella from PA
I ordered a trigger spring for me Browning x-bolt and Winchester model 70. Both were delivered immediately and with excellent U tube videos easily installed and delivered desired trigger pull reductions. Great service.
Thanks Mcarbo your spring kit was amazing made the Winchester model 70 feel like a different gun easy to install and awesome service
the spring definitely cleaned up the trigger.
Purchased two kits, one for my 30.06 1965 mod 70 the other for my .300 classic. installation very easy and quick. got the results I was looking for, a little less than 2lbs.
Installed new trigger spring on my 1988 m-70 sporter varminter. Results were good , not great. At about 3 pounds. Do not have a gauge. To be fair, I have creep in my trigger so need to work on the sear. Probably can fine tune the spring just a bit more also.
What a great trigger spring kit for my Winchester 70 rifle, what a big difference it made in the trigger pull, I don't have a trigger pull guage yet, but I could tell by just pulling the trigger and it was great, the install was simple just watch the video, the shipping was super fast, Chris you guy's are the best keep up the great work brother. I would highly recommend this trigger spring kit to everyone who has a Winchester 70 rifle you will see a big difference.
I had no problems installing the kit.It came with two springs and the step by step video was very helpfull.. You know your stuff !!
trigger spring easy to install. brought trigger pull from 5lbs plus to 11 oz to light for me so installed nuts back on lock tighted and trigger pull 2lbs plus what I was looking for and feel as good as other triggers I have used.
Recently I competed in a friendly shooting competition with my Winchester 70 .243. When I squeezed the trigger I thought I must’ve forgot to disengage the safety. I didn’t forget; it was that hard! I watched a vid on YouTube showing how to significantly reduce trigger pull by simply changing out the spring with a MCARBO spring. Wow! What an improvement. I don’t have a trigger pull gage but It can’t be more than 2lbs. now. Search YouTube under “MCARBO” to see the vid for yourself! Awesome upgrade.
When I set the factory trigger spring pull it was 3 1\2 lbs. That was the lowest it would go. With your spring I only got it to 3 lbs. So there was not much difference between factory and your spring. The only way to make yours lighter is to cut coils on the spring and the only way I would do that was if I had 4 or 5 springs in hand so in case I screwed up I would have extra ones. And by the way I have been setting trigger pulls on different guns for 50 years.
I was thinking about a drop in trigger from timney until I seen this upgrade for way less money and the video is probably one of the best instruction videos I ever seen and it is a night and day difference with the upgrade awesome trigger now
