I got a trigger spring for my Ruger and id made a world of differance
Installation after watching video: about 15-20 minutes. Used the 1 thread rule in the video. Perfect. Installed on a Ruger American 10/22 Bolt Action. Really decent rifle, but sometimes I pull a shot, because of trigger pull. Thing is, you don’t even have to look thru the scope, to know you did it. Off by a 1/2-1”. You know it! Install this spring. Use the 1 thread rule, no more. Reassemble rifle. It cut my trigger pull in half, I would guess. There is no take up or sponge. Just a ever so slight pull to a snap. Big difference shooting @120 yards on a 3” target. If your dope is right, it will hit consecutively sub-MOA groups every time. The rifle will never shoot like my Custom, but it sure made a big difference on the longer shots. Ammo: Blazer 40gr 1235 & Armscor 40gr 1125.
I have a Ruger American Rimfire 17 HMR, and I tried to lighten he trigger pull by unscrewing the factory adjustment screw. This didn't help much at all. I was on the fence deciding whether to spend the $20 for a little spring from MCarbo, but I watched the installation video and sent the order in. Installation was simple, and the trigger feels incredible (crisp and light). I am extremely happy with the change it made in this rifle.
Took me about 10 mins to install and was very happy with the results. Got a 2lb trigger pull without spending $130 on a new trigger
The trigger replacement spring took a 4+ pound trigger down to a very consistent, smooth 2.5 lb. pull. Very satisfied and would highly recommend this to anyone. It took 5 minutes to install.
Installed trigger spring in the trigger of my Ruger American Predator6.5 Creedmoor. It was an easy install and trigger pulls at 2 lbs even. No creep. I will be installing this in my Ruger American Ranch 450BM next.
This was my 3rd mcarbo trigger kit, and all of them have made a huge difference in the trigger feel. Why spend 100+ on a new trigger setup when you can just replace a spring and have amazing results. This kit not only dropped the weight of my rifles trigger pull but it dramatically cut the travel. It's clean, and crisp. Highly recommend.
The original trigger would not break consistently. After installing this spring the trigger breaks at a consistent 3 lbs. Way better than it was!
Took my old man's 7-08 from a stock pull of 3lbs 13oz at the lightest safe setting to a great feeling 2lb 5oz crisp pull. Numbers are from a 5 shot average using a digital Lyman trigger pull tool. Great video directions make the install a breeze. Couldn't be any easier to install and couldn't be happier with the results. Every rifle I own (including family and friends now) that has an mcarbo trigger mod option is sporting it. Keep up the great work!
Inexpensive, awesome results.
One of the simplest installs that brings great results.
The Ruger American trigger isn't bad, it was just a bit heavy - i know there are drop in kits out there, but I don't think the trigger needed that much help (unlike my Rem700) - it came from the factory a touch over 4 lbs and backing the adjustment screw out completely, still can't get under 3 lbs. This spring went in very quickly/easily and i set the screw out about a thread and its right at 2.5 lbs which is exactly what i was aiming for - can definitely back it out to lower it a little bit more if you wanted. I do think the price is a big much for a single spring, but definitely a must for the Ruger American trigger
When I received my Ruger American Predator the trigger pull was 5.5 lbs per my trigger gauge. I was able to adjust it down to 4.5 lbs with the Allen screw with 3 threads of the screw showing. After installing the MCARBO spring, with 1 thread showing, the trigger pull was 3.5 lbs. I turned the set screw out until 3 threads were showing hoping to get the trigger pull to 2 lbs. Was not able to. Put loctite on with 3 threads showing. The best trigger pull I got was 3 lbs. The spring changed helped, but not as much as I wanted.
These two trigger springs were placed in 2 different American rugers. Both with same results. 3 lb trigger pulls. The factory spring was 2.65 and 2.73. So this product is worse. Oh and don't ever let something get lost in the mail. My browning trigger spring still never came and because it showed delivered they treated me like I was scum and a thief over a 5 cent spring that I paid them 20 dollars for. Btw I'm a federal law enforcement officer and a combat army vet with 3 tours and 2 purple hearts. Thanks brother M'carbo for treating your brothers trying to support a vet company like trash.
This replacement trigger tensioner spring was exactly as advertised. The installation, as demonstrated in their video, was very straightforward. The resulting decreased trigger pull, and the crispness of the feel, were both noticeable in a positive way. I would definitely recommend this very inexpensive upgrade for your Ruger American.
I ordered this upon recommendation from several trusted websites. Shipped and received in 3 days (awesome). Following the on line instructions, installation was simple and relatively fast. Factory trigger was still just at 4 pounds after adjustment. With the new spring, I was able to adjust the trigger down to 2¼ pounds, just where I wanted this hunting rifle to be. Awesome product with step by step instruction can't be beat.
