While there isn't much your average Mini-14 owner can do to the trigger to improve it. This trigger spring is one modification that you can do easily. Having watched the how to video here on the site, I was convinced that I could do it. It actually turned out to be quite easy. The spring works. It did improve the trigger, but don't expect match grade trigger improvements. Considering the cost and improvement, definitely worth the cost and time to install...
The spring was advertised to reduce the pull weight by up to 1lb. At best I got maybe 2 oz. disappointed in the results. I have since sent the trigger group to a gunsmith to have it worked on. The description of the difficulty of putting the trigger back together was not exaggerated. It is extremely difficult to get the trigger spring in the correct position and then install the pin.
Received spring in short order. Spring definitely made a noticable difference. I don't have a trigger scale but my trigger is lighter pressure. Installation video is spot on

I installed the spring without any problems. I also did some minor polishing of the sear as shown on YouTube. Trigger is now slightly lighter and crisp. I’m very happy.
The Mini-14 rifle was purchased to add as a 5.56 NATO caliber rifle to back up to the Colt LE6920 (Primary 5.56 NATO rifle). Range time is not heavy (200 rounds) but I noticed after the last time that my trigger finger was starting to ache from the trigger pull. I found the M*Carbo YOUTUBE channel when searching for trigger modifications. Purchased the Spring, installed last night and dry fired a few times to confirm both function testing and improved trigger pull. Smooth and crisp now. Looking forward to the next range time to give it a more thorough test but the improvement can be felt immediately after reinstalling in the rifle.
I received the spring within the time they gave. It was really easy to install significantly reduced trigger pull.
Installation was idiot-proof. Haven’t fired the gun yet but trigger is clearly lighter and smoother. Good purchase.
I ordered the Mini-30 Trigger Spring which came very promptly and was very easy to install. The on-site video made installation a snap only took about 10 minutes start to finish. The new spring definitely dropped the trigger pull to a very manageable 4.5lbs and I imagine it will get lighter as this is a new rifle. I highly recommend M*CARBO as a company and there Mini-30 Trigger Spring!
Excellent product and a most helpful video for installation. A noticeable difference without trigger pull tester. Young man on video knew what he was talking about and gets you all the way through process. Good job, good product. Thanks to a veteran owned/operated company.
I bought my Mini 14 Ranch new in 2003 and have put up with the aweful trigger pull because I really like the rifle.Trigger jobs are very expensive for the Mini’s so when I discovered this trigger spring kit I decided why not for the price. It does exactly what is advertised of it a noticeable lighting and smoothing of the trigger pull. I don’t have a gauge but I’m very familiar with my rifles trigger after this many years and I can tell a big difference, with the instructional video it is very easy to install. Give MCARBO a try I wasn’t disappointed at all!
Along with polishing trigger parts my Mini 30 trigger pull weight is at a nice 3 lbs. 5 oz.
Went perfectly. Installed the spring and did some polishing and stoning on the primary, secondary and sear. Two stage is now predictable and a consistent 3.8lb break.
Was skeptical at first as it's only a single spring; installed on my 187 series Ranch that had a heavy gritty trigger. What a difference! Night and day. I could hardly believe that this one spring smoothed and lightened the trigger pull
Ordered several items to improve my mini 14 trigger tension. Received everything timely and the parts and tools worked perfectly.
Easy to install. After polishing up sear/trigger areas and then installing mcarbo spring, I ended up with a 3 1/2 # pull. Great spring for the $. My brother bought another brand for his and wasn't happy. I ordered him one of these and he was very pleased. We both have 580 series mini 14's.
