I installed the trigger kit in my tc compass and used the synthetic grease. With the bench rest shooting spring I am getting 3lbs I was hoping to get 2.5lbs or less. This is a big upgrade from what I had.
Super easy install, followed the video step by step. Nice crisp kit with the bench rest spring set. I would have liked to see the super lube and a little tube of loc-tite included, and would have been happy to pay a couple bucks more for that whole kit. I’ll be looking for other kits now!
Got my spring kit super quick. Installation was simple and quick after watching the tutorial a couple of times. I thought the 2 1/2 pound spring would be a better chice than the lighter 1 1/2. After trying the trigger pull I went back and used the 1 1/2 pound spring. By my trigger weight it is about 3 1/2 pounds. A large improvement over the factory 6 pounder! Group size has shrank tremendously!

I ordered the spring kit for my compass the kit has had great results went from 6.5lbs down to 1.14 lbs and passed the drop test from 18” The Mcarbo company ship fast and answers all your questions and help if needed I wish the Mcarbo compa come up with ain trigger with a regular safety like a thumb or barrel type in the trigger hard can not believe TC came up with the safety they gave it is dangerous I have had it set to fire as a branch or something moved it this happen a few times and the only fix TC has is to make it tighter it is bad already
Parts for the TC Compass were scheduled to be here on last Friday, but got here on Thursday. Got my act together and went to work on the change over. Like the way things were packaged, keeping things separated, so out with the old and in with the new so they wouldn’t get mixed. With only one that was color coded, I took things slow. Started out with the standard hunting spring, reassembled and tried the pull weight. Hmmm, dropped from the factory at 8 lbs. down to about 5+ even with the lube, not want I was looking for. Took it apart again, put in the “for bench shooting only” spring with a wipe down and some more lube [not much, just enough] and reassembled again. Tested the pull weight several times, with the over travel to where I was a happy camper. Turns out it was consistent at 2.75 lbs. Now for the safety test. Cocked, put on safe, squeezed trigger real hard, forward to fire. No problem, did not release. Drop tested multiple times at 6 to 8 inches, still good. Went to about 2 feet a few times and still did not fire. Put the trigger pull tool back on it again. No change. just under 3 lbs. and crisp as a fresh potato chip. We’re good to go!
The TC Compass is a great value for the money. My only gripe was the trigger. This spring kit does the job. It is easy to install and safely lightens the trigger pull to a nice clean break.
Arrived two days early. Installed bench rest spring. It is as advertised. So impressed I ordered kit for Savage Axis. They even followed up to be sure the product arrived and not damaged. Best company and product ever!
WOW! Great spring kit. Went from 6 3/4 pounds to a nice, consistent 3 1/2 lbs!!!! Passed 18 drop check WITHOUT the butt pad on! The video was very informative esp. for setting the overtravel. I initially tried a win M70 target spring, got a lighter pull but it failed a drop check. The M*Carbo kit is the ticket. BTW....... these synthetic stocks are filled with pieces of loose gun case foam. It was noisy and subject to getting wet in the field. I cut closed-cell foam to fit inside and secured with low-expansion spray foam with good results. Thanks M*Carbo for a great product that works!
The product is great ! The videos are great ! The only issue i have is six bucks for shipping a couple of springs that you ban ship in a very small padded envelope ! I do not know if it is the USPS Fault or Mcarbo but i think the company can do better !
I didn’t think I could install the kit. So I had the video playing while I was installing the kit. It didn’t take long to put it in. I like the difference the kit made in the trigger. Just by putting that trigger kit in my TC Compass 6.5 Creedmoor makes it one of my favorite rifles to shoot now. Thank you for the great service your company has. I guarantee I will do business with you again.
Bought a new .308 TC Compass and after following manufacturers instructions to reduce trigger pull weight I still had well over 5 pounds. That’s when I ordered a Mcarbo trigger kit. Have it installed now and am at little over 3 pounds. I believe I need to shoot it some and go back in and polish some rubbing surfaces (never touch the sear) because of the original herculean trigger. That should get it a little lighter. Anyway, the kit reduced trigger weight about 36% which is great. And rock solid. I banged the action around quite a bit on my vinyl covered work bench with no misfire.
Springs came in early very easy to install the mcarbo video was easy to follow and dang that trigger is super sweet now great job guys
Outstanding customer service I haven’t installed spring kit yet !!! But it’s awesome to find a business that still cares about its customers !!! If their product is near the quality of customer service I am sure it will be awesome !!! Great work keep it up !!!
