Q: What would you say is gained by replacing the secondary spring and the sear spring versus merely replacing the main trigger return spring?

A: Our drop test is from 6" on hard concrete and then from 12" onto a rubber mat. Testing the trigger each time to make sure it didn't fire.

Q: Is there anything fundamentally trickier about the TC Compass/Winchester Model 70 trigger than any other trigger as far as safety and trigger pull harmony goes?

A: TC made a voluntary recall on their rifles to fix the trigger. They received too many complaints that it would not pass a minimal drop test. In an effort to fix what they already had they added the counterweight and another trigger return spring.
