I placed my order when the spring kit was out of stock and was told they would ship in early March 2018. The shipment was on time and arrived quickly in perfect shape. The install was relatively painless as I had watched Chris's instructional video a few times but I did need to purchase a 1/16" punch to help remove the pins. I tested my trigger prior to replacement and it was over the max for my RCBS trigger pull gauge (it only goes to 72 oz.) so I cannot confirm a 60% pull reduction however; after the springs were replaced I have a 64 ounce trigger pull, not as low as I wanted but it is a major improvement. I followed the video instructions with the exception of removing the 1/4" nut that locks the over travel adjustment and did not use any thread lock. I am glad that I didn't leave one of the trigger pull nuts on to increase the pull that I saw on the video or I would have had to pull it apart again. This trigger passed the drop test with ease, 6", 12" and 18" but I was was concerned for my scope. I have not shot since the modification but I am sure everything will be fine. DROPPING MY RIFLE FOR THE TEST WAS PAINFUL as I baby all of my equipment. I called Chris and talked to him about what I had expected from the video and he explained that the trigger spring used in the video was the bench rest spring. I wanted between 48-54 ounce pull for this hunting rifle and came up heavy and he explained that when the springs took a set it would probably be close to the 54 ounce trigger. I am impressed with the customer service that was provided, both in on time shipment and then follow-up conversation trying to meet my expectations. Thanks for your help.
I just ordered my 5th T/C Compass trigger spring kit. The rifle is ok without the spring kit but is excellent after the spring upgrade. This is an absolute must have if you are a fan of light single stage triggers like myself.

I ordered a trigger spring kit for my TC Compass which I purchased unseen so when I received my rifle (after my background check) what I bought was a Compass II model so my bad on that !! These guys called me personally to see if I was satisfied with their product. I informed him that my rifle was the gen 2 trigger. The brother told me to return it for full reimbursement ,which I appreciated ! I did not take the offer of returning the kit because the mistake was on me. As a consumer I seldom see any of this consideration from other vendors . Thanks Brothers !!!!!
Just recently bought and installed this trigger kit on my TC Compass and man what a difference!! I wasn’t expecting just how smooth my trigger would be after. I knew it would decrease the poundage of pull but the overall smoothness really impressed me! Great product! I’m a combat veteran as well so it’s a no brainer to support other combat veterans! Especially when they’re product is this good! Thanks guys!
Install took less than 5 minutes and I've gotten nothing but compliments on the trigger now. I haven't used a trigger gauge yet but I think it's under 3 pounds
Great trigger spring set for Thompson Compass.I really enjoy the Compass, shoots great but the factory trigger was terrible. Upgraded the springs on my 6.5 Creedmore in under 30min. Trigger went from 4.8lb pull to 2.7, I used the Hunting spring rather than the lighter bench shooter spring. Can’t beat getting a “new” trigger for $20!
I installed this kit the second it arrived using the benchrest spring on my 6.5 CM. My trigger pull gauge arrived a couple of days after I installed the kit so I have no idea what the original trigger pull was. Though not quite to 1.5 lbs I am getting 2.10 lbs. I am extremely happy with this kit and will definitely be getting 2 more for my 223 and 308.
I fought this trigger spring kit and installed the lighter of the 2 springs. I shoot 1” groups at 100 yds on the least expensive of ammunition with a 3-9X40 scope. I have only tried 1 ammo type, but I am trying more soon. Would not be surprised if it does just as well with other types too. Love this product.
Excellent functionality. Installed bench rest spring. The trigger breaks predictably and is significantly reduced. Excellent instructions. Just ordered the Savage Axis spring set. Great product. Great company.
Factory trigger was 5lbs 13oz. Used the 1.5lb spring and greased all contact points. Brought it down to a very crisp 3lb 4oz. Can't wait to get to the range. The only thing that would be better is if the springs were painted. Almost got the sear springs mixed up. Mostly my fault, but paint would've helped. 3 similar springs...red, white and blue...just a thought. Couldn't be happier. Can't wait to get back to the range!!!
Took my factory trigger break from (measured) 6.5 to 7.5 lbs average break to a crisp 3.5 lb break. Measured with a wheeler gauge.
This spring kit is a must have for benchrest shooting. Very easy install following the Mcarbo video on youtube.
Im proved the accuracy on my rifle as the trigger was the biggest limitation on my firearm. Received the item within the 10 days and was even opened by CBSA. great product and very quick and responsive staff. Thanks for the help !
I installed my trigger kit by removing both pins as shown in video. I removed the 2 nuts for the trigger pull adjustment but left the bottom one on and didn’t change any adjustments there. Installed the 3 springs from the kit and put the rifle back together. Very happy with the final result.
Trigger kit is as advertised significant reduction in break drop tested it and had no issues of hammer drop
