Took a week to arrive, OK, it's USPS. The installation took about 20 minutes which included my taking the time to polish the sear. I used the 'Bench-Rest' spring. My trigger measured a solid 5 lbs before and after the install, it's down to a crisp 2.5 lbs. Not sure what the 'hunting' spring would have brought it down to or if I'll see any improvement after shooting it a few times, but, I can live with 2.5 lbs. I am a little disappointed in one thing, for $20 I would think you guys could include a tiny tube of the grease you use in the video, just saying. The video is Very helpful, thank you. Until someone actually makes an after market trigger, I will certainly recommend this kit.
I can tell you first hand TC compass came in with 6.5lb trigger factory set at minimum no way to adjust with this kit was able to get down to 3.5 which is perfect and crisp.Makes a world of difference highly recommend
T/C Compass Utility in .270 Win. Factory pull on mine was about 5 1/4 lbs. Followed the video and now I have a smoother trigger with about a 3 1/2 lb pull. I used the 1 1/2 lb spring but it is not that low. I would have preferred closer to a 2 lb but it is better and feels like a nicer trigger. It was worth the money.
Easily the best mod for your compass! Trigger pull was 7.3 lbs from factory and now with the hunting spring it’s down to a crisp 2.8 lbs. brought my 3 shot groups from just under an inch to about .5” at 100 yards. supper happy with the customer service and the great items Mcarbo produces! Shipping was super fast. Got my order in 3 days from Florida to Washington state. I look forward to doing business with Mcarbo in the future.
Received today, quickly installed. MCARBO videos are outstanding. Took trigger down from a very stiff feeling 5 lbs to a very sweet 3.25 lbs with the hunting weight spring. Right where I wanted it. Thanks MCARBO, you rule!
I purchased the Thompson Center Compass Trugger Spring Kit for my 6.5 Creedmoor. I was excited to receive it earlier than the estimated date. It was a really easy install thanks to your video. I am not a gunsmith. I just wanted a lighter trigger for my son who has Cerebral palsy. I dont have the tools to check the trigger pull before and after the spring kit. The gun will be used for hunting but I used the bench spring as the gun will still be fired from a rest and not carried when loaded. My test was having my son pull the trigger before and after. He struggled before and it was easy for him after. I followed the instructional video and it was a snap to do the work myself. Thank you for a great product that is made in the USA.
Anybody who buys a TC Compass knows the trigger is not its best feature! You bought it for the price and all around good gun for the money. It will work just as it is but I wanted better. I started with replacing the stock main spring with a Winchester target spring and removed one of the top nuts and put a small washer in. (a lot of trial and error) That got me down from 5.75 to 3 but the trigger was still a little creepy, not right by my standards. I have some guns with fantastic triggers, so I know what a good one is when they break like a "glass rod". So, I tried this kit with all the springs. Put in the target spring and now I’m just under 2 lbs. but it breaks much cleaner. I was sub MOA but getting tighter groups now with a more consistent trigger break. This will be target and a hunting rig and I'm not worried about the light trigger for drop test when on fire. I don't walk around with my gun on fire. When it’s on fire, I'm pulling the trigger. Great Product, instruction video and cleaner trigger setup. Two thumbs way up!

I wasn't a a fan of the extremely tight trigger pull from the factory. The hunter springs were easy to install, and have worked perfectly. I am very impressed. This kit is exactly what the compass should have had from the factory.

Fit was absolutely perfect and the directions were super easy to follow. My daughter helped and was useful with the tiny springs!

The wife really loves the new trigger pull now. Made her more confident in her shooting and not pulling so much with the heavy stock trigger springs. She is now shooting a 1" MOA group now and ready for the ELK hunt! Also appropriate the remove & install video cause i made her do it LOL.
I can't recommend this spring kit enough. When I received my T/C Compass a week ago it had an 8 1/2 pound trigger. It was adjusted down as far as possible from the factory. I removed one of the nuts under the main trigger spring and only brought it to 5 3/4 pounds with lots of grit. It was TERRIBLE. I wasn't expecting miracles from this kit but I think that's what I got. I used the benchrest spring and teflon grease. WOW...now no grit at all and a clean 3lb break with no over travel. Mine is still drop safe but I think because it started so heavy to begin with. Honestly my Compass was almost unusable at long range because the trigger was so bad but now shoots .8 moa all day. Best trigger money Ive ever spent.
Installed the trigger spring using the mcarbo youtube tutorial. New trigger pull helped with putting in a few sub-moa groups at 200yrd using the T/C Compass. I'm in no way an experienced shooter and the sub-moa flukes (with wolf ammo!) were happy surprises.
