I have 2 savage axis rifles, I liked the kit so much I’m buying another kit so they are both fitted with the amazing product! Helps so much more than you would think!
The upgrade to the 3.5 pound spring is quite amazing. I primarily used my 2013 model 308 Axis as a hunting rifle. I had made it accurate before. Now, I am truly impressed. Instead of feeling resistance as the shot is squeezed, I now feel an even pull with way less effort and very little "shot pulling." It is the way a trigger should be. The shims are a great idea. The lack of side travel makes for way more consistent shooting and we all know that is what is important for accuracy. This literally has turned an econo gun into a finely tuned hunting machine. Those 180 grain Accubonds are going to fit under a quarter now.
Let's face it the trigger on the axis is no good. Rather than hunt around for correct spring rate and length, bolt size, shaving threads, finding washers, this kit has it all and mcarbo has done the leg work. Pay them.

Just picked up a Savage Axis .308 for a Farm Gun/Beater at RK in Dec.2020.. $329, Knew what i was buying and it's intended purpose and it's trigger.. Someone at the "club" mentioned your kit.. I gotta say.. Shipping was spot on, installation was a 3rd grade simple stupid project.. Put in the 2.5 lb. spring. Take up? the wall is right there, crisp, clean break and overtravel is pretty much gone, and the sear won't let go when the rifle is beaten' on the floor.. :) Yeah, it has bounce.. :)... Side to side slop has been cut to an 1/8th? (prolly less).. Yeah Man.. Well done for $20... Flocktards got me looking to put a better scope and rings on a $300 budget beater... Thanks much... ;) lol.. I might even let you guys help in upgrading an ole cz 75 that's showing some age.. Kidding aside, thanks frens.. Good Deal..
Have two A Savage Axis with terrible trigger pull. Installed the new spring kits which was very easy. Improved the trigger pull tremendously. Very pleased and highly recommend. Thanks MCARBO.
Worked great went from factory 7lb pull to 3.5 lb very happy with the results.super easy installation
I received my order today and installed it as soon as I got home. I don't have a trigger pull gauge but I can tell you that the trigger is definitely lighter than stock. It was 830ish when I installed and I instantly wanted to hit to hit the range; unfortunately I'll have to wait for the weekend. If my other Savage didn't already have an Accu-tirgger in it I would l buy another Pro Kit for it.
put in 2 ruger american trigger spring kits in a 30-06 and a 270and it was e z peezee mcarbo comes thru again
Video is easy to follow and straight to ge point. Kit is amazing. Trigger is like butter. Makes this rifle high end
Took all of 5 minutes to install, everything you need is in this kit. The grease was a great way to hold the shims in place while reinstalling the trigger. The trigger is much better now. Is it a Timney no but it’s a fraction of the price, and for a hunting rifle it’s great. I would recommend this product, in fact I already have.
Took only a few days to arrive, only took about 10 minutes to install and even though I haven't shot my rifle yet the upgrade feels Amazing
It took longer to get the action out than it did to install the kit. I was surprised that the new pull weight was so much reduced. The 2.5# spring dropped it to 15 oz, to low for me, the 3.5 # spring was 1# 12oz, just right for a competition rifle. GREAT KIT FOR THE MONEY!! BUY ONE !!
Easy to install, created a smoother trigger pull. Rifles are way more accurate as well. The 2.5 Lb spring was a little light for me, so I moved up to the 3.5, just enough to make a difference but not harm the function. I’d recommend starting with the 2.5, shooting, and changing if needed. The 2.5 would be perfect for target/steel shooting, but both mine will be used for hunting too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A+++
Bought this trigger kit after finding a good deal in a rifle for deer season. The factory pull on the Savage Axis 6.5 Creedmore is a little heavy for my liking and I found myself pulling my shots. After watching the video it took maybe 10 minutes to install. It already feels 100x better and I can't wait to fire it live.
Would recommend to any one with a savage axis. After about 5mins trigger pull went from 6-6.5lbs to 3-3.5lbs. Also my 3 shot group from about 1” to less than 1/2”. Awesome product.
