Installation was very easy with the mcarbo step by video and they keep in touch every step of the way trigger feels much smoother and lighter can't wait too shoot on opening day for deer season hear in PA

Even without a trigger pull guage I can tell a big difference, not only the trigger pull but the side to side play is almost non-existent. Love it.
DO NOT BUY THE AXIS II. This kit for the Savage axis utterly amazed me. You can asjust the trigger travel via the hex bolt, the shims eat 100% of the side slop and the "sweet spot" is perfect. Why pay $100.00 for a sweet "factory" trigger when rhis kit does the EXACT same thing for way less. I'm so impressed I'm going to be ordering kits for my other rifles and shotguns.
purchased a Savage Axis XP this year for long range deer hunting in Nevada. It is a great rifle, but the trigger was awful – 6lbs at least. Couldn’t keep it on target to fire. I purchased your Savage Axis trigger kit as a “Hail Mary” to save my new rifle, and installed it myself. What a HUGE difference it made! I was actually on target for my sight-in prior to my hunt, and I filled my tag on day one with a shot from 120 yards. Thanks, M-Carbo! You saved my hunt. P Klouse
There is no reason I can think to spend the extra money on an Axis II with the Accutrigger. Just get the original Axis with the heavy trigger and then buy this kit for $26 after shipping and buy ammo with your savings. The original trigger is gritty and super long. This 5 minute upgrade makes it feel like a different gun.would recommend and buy again.

Was really excited since it comes with a "3.5 lb" spring that is higher than most kits I could find, and prefered (by me) for hunting use. I tested both springs. The 2.5lb spring was very consistent at 2 lb pull, but the 3.5lb spring wasn't really any better, pull weight varied from as low as 2lb to a max of 2.5lb (so less than 2.5lb average). If it was always just going to be me then it probably would be useable, but since this is my kid's deer rifle I don't fell comfortable with it that low.
Was about to buy a brand new aftermarket trigger for a couple a hundred dollars here in Australia. Found this kit and couldn't be happier with the result. My savage is now a joy to shoot Thanks mcarbo very happy
worth every penny. Trigger is WAY better now. Shipped to me in like 3 days. If you have an Axis, you NEED to install this kit in it.
This kit gives an easy, instantaneous improvement. It's shocking how different it feels.
I just bought my hunting rifle, a Savage Axis in .308. The trigger was..... less than desirable but it was functional. I ran across this spring kit and WOW. Upon install it has a hair trigger, and that's just with the 3.5lb spring. I can't imagine wanting it any lighter. Installation was simple with the provided video, it was in and done in a matter of minutes.
Placed an order for the spring trigger kit and paid extra to expedite order. Went to install the kit and was missing the over travel screw. Emailed customer service with no reply. Called on the phone got no answer. Called the following day and talked to someone. Was promised to have the part Friday. Called the following Monday left a phone message and still no reply and no part . My first order here and got zero service. Was hoping to avoid leaving a bad review but all I get is crickets via email or phone.
They should be charging more for this kit I understand it's so cheap but dam it like deodorant yea sure it's expensive but you need it no matter what.. I feel the same with this trigger kit it could be $60 I would still need it at all cost.. I'm not gunna ruin it for you.. don't hesitate buy it now!
Before putting this on it was impossible to target fire without jerking the trigger because it was so heavy. Now no movement as I squeeze the trigger able to hold on target.
Great product and easy installation. Definitely helps improve accuracy!
