After watching the video on this kit for the Savage Axis rifle I figured I would try it, it's only $20. I ordered it and received it in less than a week. I installed the kit and love how it made the trigger feel and no more trigger creep. I highly recommend it and have been telling my friends.
Installed on two 7mm-08 rifles for my children. Reduced trigger pull by about 2 lbs. Easy to install, worked great. Only needed one shim on one rifle, and both on the second. No more trigger slop.
I have now installed the Savage Axis trigger spring kit on 3 rifles. All had their trigger pull reduced from the original 5.5-6.25 lb pull to 3.5-3.6 lb pull after spring kit installed. Trigger side slop greatly reduced by shims. Trigger pull was very consistent after conversion. I highly recommend this simple conversion.
The stock trigger on my savage axis was way too stiff. Ordered this kit and made a dramatic difference. I went with the 3.5 lb spring and it feels so much better. Good product. Easy installation. Nice product

This kit went far beyond what was said for my Axis, I managed to get a 2.1 lb trigger pull and did nothing different than what the video showed! Pull was done at my local gun shop where I purchased the rifle.

This product offeres smooth and flawless instal, it has shortened the overtravel, releaded trigger poundage and corrected the wiggle in the trigger with in 5 min. Great product!

All I can do is add to the outstanding reviews here. Living in the People's Republic of Commiefornia has many drawbacks. Fortunately, they haven't outlawed bolt action rifles yet. Building an Axis .308 with a Shaw barrel, MDT Oryx chassis and semi-decent glass that had a rock hard trigger. Didn't want to sink another $100+ into a fancy trigger since I'm not shooting competition and the wife was balking at the cost already. Anyway, this kit got here in near record time and 15 minutes on the bench and I've got a trigger that is smooth and crisp. Only downside is we got 3 feet of snow the day after it came and the range is a no-go for a while. I have no doubt that once the break in is done I will be pretty happy with the whole thing, trigger included.
Ordered a new spring kit for my .243 axis. The delivery came sooner than expected and the kit spring changed the trigger pull from 5.7lb to 3.7 lb. The kit also came with a 2.5lb spring and spacers to eliminate trigger wobble. I'm completely satisfied with this upgrade. Thanks Mcarbo , nice fit and upgrade.

The trigger pull on my savage axis was about 6 1\2 lbs and was causing me to pull to the right on my shots and after installing the spring kit it has improved my accuracy greatly very pleased.
This spring kit did everything they claimed it would do and easy to install. I will be putting one in another axis I own. Great job MCARBO!
