Product was shipped quickly and installation was a breeze!! Drastically reduced the slop in a he trigger and made it a nice crisp trigger pull! Would recommend to anyone!
Easy install. Results were better than expected and based on past parts purchased from MCARBO, I expected good results. 6lb pull down to less than 2lb.
Just as advertised. Installation was simple - video very clear. Used 2.5# spring - trigger pull measured 3#. Love the shims makes the side to side movement very minimal. Excellent kit.
What a great product! Watched the install video and then used the 3.5 lb spring and washers that came with the axis pro trigger kit. Went from 6.1 lb to 3.4 lb. Just what I was hoping for. Shipping was very fast also. Couldn't be more pleased with both the quality and price. Thank you!!
I have a Savage Axis XP, so I didn't need all the parts. My trigger had no wobble in it, so the washers weren't necessary. My trigger before I started was a solid 8 lbs, tested multiple times. I changed out the original spring with the spring marked 3.5 lbs, used some of the PTFE lube on each side of the trigger, reassembled everything, and the trigger now tests between 2.5 and 3 lbs. consistently. Cant wait to take the rifle out to the range again. I was shooting sub-1 inch groups with the 8 lb trigger, so I'm expecting big things now!

The kit arrived in a timely matter and was packaged well. I have never installed a trigger kit so I watched the installation video. Chris goes over the installation step by step which made it very simple and easy to install (thanks for the grease tip on the spacers Chris !) I had it installed in less than 10 minutes. There is no comparison between the M*CARBO kit and the factory trigger. I installed the 2.5lb return spring with the spacers. The kit made my 6.5 Creedmoor even more enjoyable to shoot. Installed to an Axis in a Boyd’s stock. No fitting problems. Easy installation following the thorough video instructions. Trigger definitely feels lighter than with the stock spring. I don’t have access to a measuring device, but the difference in “feel” is noticeable. I believe it to be more safe than snipping the coils from the original stock spring to reduce trigger pull. I see the shims and grease as a bonus. I’m happy with this purchase and delivery was fast.
This kit makes a world of difference. I liked it so much I ordered 3 Tikka kits also.
The Savage Axis pro trigger kit is a great upgrade and easy to install. This kit will make your AXIS feel like a $$$ rifle. You will need removable loctite to secure the allen bolt. THX.. M*CARBO for the video and fast shipping.
This pro trigger kit for the savage axis rifle is a must have! I have installed 2 of them. Lowered trigger pull by over 3 lbs on both rifles. The overtravel adjustment is great. Only had one small problem. On one rifle both shims would not fit. This is not due to product quality. This was due to the casting of the trigger housing. Dremel tool took care of the casting imperfections. Shims are installed. Trigger works great! I would highly recommend using dremel tool to polish sear and sear engagement surfaces while trigger assembly is out. Takes the “gritty” feeling out while applying pressure to the trigger before firing. If you own a savage axis rifle or want to build a budget rifle on a savage axis action you need to order this first!!!
I knew when purchasing this Savage AXIS rifle that it had a heavy trigger pull. For the price of the firearm and the fact I wanted a rifle to carry during foul weather, I hoped it was not going to be a huge issue but after trying to site it in I could see that it would be hard to impossible to get any consistency in shot placement due to the factory trigger being so heavy. Prior to the trigger kit installation, I had used up a box of bullets and was very disappointed in the shoot-ability of this firearm. After some research and finding this MCarbo trigger kit I felt it would be a good option for the price, especially in comparison to having to take the rifle to a gunsmith. I received the kit quickly with their standard shipping and it was very easy to install by using their provided video. (about 20 minutes and I was done) This kit has truly made an extreme difference in trigger pull and smoothness and took this rifle to a whole different level. After installing this kit, I now have a trigger that is crisp and light and makes this firearm a joy to shoot. After installing the trigger kit I was able to dial the rifle in with 6 rounds. Did three more final rounds that were in a 1 1/4 inch group at 100 yards. If you own one of these rifles and want to take it to another level, you will want to order this Savage AXIS Pro Trigger Kit. I purchased 3 kits for all my Axis rifles 6.5, .270 & .223, first the shipping was extremely fast, much quicker than started. Next, all had trigger pulls between 5.5 and 6lbs., now after the installation (only took 15 minutes per rifle) all are around 3.5 lbs. This kit is worth the money spent!!!
