Put this kit into both my 243 and 308 Axis rifles. Both now have light, crisp triggers, as a fraction of the cost of buying Savage's upgraded Axis with the adjustable trigger. This kit does exactly what MCarbo advertises at a very low price.

Super easy installation. The shims are a nice touch for taking up most of the side to side wiggle felt in the shoe. Originally broke at a weight high enough to max out my manual scale (72oz max). Measured a consistent 3 - 3.2 lb pull after installing. Third one I've done and results have been consistent.
Installed to improve awful factory trigger in my Savage Axis .270 Win. Installation was super easy, and done within 10 minutes. The 3.5lb spring is perfect for my purpose (hunting) The includes washers also reduced the side-to-side slop in the trigger as well. Makes for a really smooth, crisp trigger pull. Definitely an improvement over factory. Excellent value.
The replacement kit to reduce trigger pull and sideways movement works as advertised. The reduced trigger pull helped me with accuracy. Thank you.
easy install on Axis, has about 7.25lbs with stock trigger, installed 3.5 spring from kit and ended with 4.25 lbs. tried 2.5 spring and it ended with 2.5. seemed to light for me for a hunting rifle so went back to 3.5 spring and ended with approx 4.25. have not fired rifle yet will see how it is.
I love my Axos but the factory trigger pull was way too much, the mcarbo kit was exactly what I needed and 10 minutes later I have a might smoother lighter trigger pull. Took the Acis to the range afterwards and had a lot of fun! This lit made the only thing I didnt like about my Axis better!!
I ordered the Axis trigger kit and it was very easy to install. The You Tube step by step video made it so easy to dis assemble, install and re-assemble the trigger assembly with the new parts. The trigger pull is like night and day with the MCarbo kit installed. Very nice and alot easier for a first time shooter (my 13yr old). One improvement I would suggest is to incorporate some sort of trigger pull measuring tool with the kit. Nothing fancy or expensive but It would be good to be able to measure the difference in pull before and after the kit is installed. Overall an excellent and easy improvement for my .308.

I watched the installation video and some others online a few times to get an idea of what was in store. I think it took about 15 minutes for me to install the trigger kit overall, but that includes a trip to my garage to grab a rag and re-disassembly/assembly to install the e-clip that I realized was still on my gun cleaning mat when I initially re-assembled my rifle. There is no creep, trigger wobble has been GREATLY reduced thanks to the shims, and the pull is so much better now that it is not 6+ lbs. VERY crisp trigger. I opted for the 2.5 lb spring. I won't know until this weekend if I should have gone with the 3.5 - but that will be an easy switch if I need to make it. The only knock I have is on Savage - the screws were barely finger tight when I went to remove the barrel from the stock.
Got this kit for my uncle (Vietnam Vet) with arthritis. The savage stock trigger is awful to say the least and he wasn’t having trouble shooting it. Told him I would find something like a new drop in or something and I found this kit. Took maybe 8 minutes to install (hardest part was getting the shims to line up. The difference afterwards is amazing. My uncle is very happy.
First of all absolutely top shelf company! I bought this new spring for a savage axis 22-250 I inherited. Wasn’t a giant fan of the axis rifles but it’s good enough for what I’m using it for. I was looking at the timney trigger replacement for it for $130 and this seemed to be a much better option! And it solved the problems with the stock trigger this should be installed on all savage axis from factory. Very economical for the results I was looking for. I mean come on here it’s a sporting rifle not a bench gun. I would strongly recommend this to anyone!
Once the kit arrived I installed it right away and it dropped my trigger pull from over 6 lbs. to around 3.5 lbs. Well worth the wait.
I didn't measure the weight before or after but the change was significant. The end result is zero travel, zero mush just short, lite and crisp.
