Used the 3.5lb spring and shims that eliminated trigger play. My Daughter and I, truly enjoy the unbeatable results this kit provided.
Kudos for fit, finish, & quality parts. Good video too. Trigger weight went from 5.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs. Side to side slop is nearly zero now. Not quite as much as I was hoping for.
Took just a few minutes to take my 3# trigger to a crisp 2#'s! I have installed Timney and Rifle Basix triggers on other axis rifles and actually prefer the Mcarbo kits performance and it saves you around $80.00!
Makes my entry level 30-06 feel like it's top of the line! I'm looking forward to taking it out to shoot now! Clear instructions from the team at MCarbo. Easy to install. The only suprise was how tough it was to remove the factory spring. Even with that it was still only about a 20 minute job.
Used the 3.5 size, took trigger to a 3# average. I would not use the 2.5 size it would be unsafe. But it is a nice trigger upgrade, great kit. The washers keep the trigger from moving vertical, the spring gives the lightness to the trigger and the screw keeps it from all that over travel!
Bought this kit for a savage axis in 6.5 creedmoore. The original trigger wasn’t great, but wasn’t terrible either. An average reading for it was 5lb 2oz. I installed the kit and tested the new pull. I was expecting something in the realm of 3-3.5 pounds. My new trigger pull consistently reads at 1lb 11oz! The shims are great and the overtravel screw is great. Only thing I’ve got to say is make sure you test your safety before setting anything in stone. I had to back my screw out an extra thread for my safety to engage properly. Other than that, excellent product and excellent service, I’m in Ohio, it shipped from Florida and arrived at my house in 2 days. Didn’t even pay for the 2 day shipping! Product will not disappoint!

I purchased the savage axis pro trigger kit for my 270 axis because it had a very hard trigger pull .it was easy to install and was a big improvement nice smooth trigger pull and i would recommend it.
Replaced the stock spring, installed the allen screw and added both shims. The trigger pull is much better that what it was stock.
Installation was less than 10 minutes. Went with the 3.5lb spring as the 2.5 was very light. Both were a million times better than factory springs.
Very easy to install. Made trigger pull much better over stock Axis trigger. The little extra for the pro kit is well worth it. Rifle feels like a much more expensive gun now without the costs.
Fixed gritty stiff trigger. Easy install with online video instructions. No slop in trigger and adjustable over travel.
Watched the video and installed. Trigger pull went from 5.5 to 1.2 pounds. I like a reduced pull but the spring I received is way too light for field use. I will have to find a spring lighter than the Savage spring,but heavier than the Mcarbo spring I received.
I installed this on my 243 new model axis and it's night and day different. Stock trigger even with a trimmed spring was hard and lackluster at best. Installed this spring kit and did a little cleaning and oiling and this thing rocks! With the 2.5lb spring installed it's probably between 2-2.5lbs
