Review
Was in need of a budget rifle that shot decent. Was referred to the Savage Axis. After initial sight in I experienced the heavy trigger pull as stated in multiple reviews of this gun. Installed the Mcarbo pro kit and polished the trigger sear. The Axis is an entirely different gun with this spring kit. The groups on this .308 tightened up and trigger pull is noticeably lighter. Customer service seems to be excellent as they followed up to make sure the purchase and install went smoothly.
This kit took my wife’s savage axis 308 from a 6.5 lbs trigger pull to a 2 lbs pull. I am impressed with the kit and the customer service. This was my first time using MCarbo and I highly recommend them and the pro trigger kit
this trigger kit took a 7lb. rough creepy trigger to a smooth 3.5lbs. could not be happier ! only thing this company needs to succeed is spell ck. on reviews. sorry about that its here (never went that long with correct spelling) succeed has 2 c s
My Savage axis had a junk trigger with a heavy pull before installing this mod. Took 15 mins and even came with the grease. Instruction videos were a big help. The pull is now like glass and makes a huge improvement to the rifle.
I’m not the type to typically write reviews. The difference in the trigger after installing this kit could not be more profound. This gun went from having one of the worst triggers I’ve ever felt to having one of the better ones. All for $20 and 5 minutes of install time.
$20 for LITERALLY a match grade trigger. This took me less than 10 min to install. Can’t recommend enough!
Hands down the cheapest best upgrade for your axis. After seeing the results I would gladly pay double
Easy to install in 5 minutes. Instructions were easy to follow. The difference in the trigger pull weight and smoothness was way better than I expected. Now able to group three shots touching each other at 100 yards.
I have a 270 Win in the Savage Axis and the stock trigger is so bad. I got this spring set for only $19 and wow.... the trigger is so much better! I put in the 2.5lb trigger and the difference is night and day. Really excited to improve my groups with this new spring. Installment was pretty easy as well. Highly recommend!
I am glade I opted for this trigger upgrade over a couple other considerations that were 4 to 5 times more expensive. These springs were easy to install and dropped the pull weight to almost 3.5 pounds. Huge improvement over the stock trigger but still maintains a respectable pull for hunting. I can't wait to take this hunting with my kids in the years to come.
Took my almost 7lb trigger down to a 2 lb trigger. So worth the money gonna see if they have the same for my other rifles.
Absolutely fantastic product. Only took 10 minutes to install (hardest part was lining up the shims, guy in the video makes it look super easy) and huge difference in the trigger pull, it's like night and day. Feels safe, tried to shake the rifle around and hit the receiver to see if it would set the trigger off and it didnt. Now I only have myself to blame when I miss
I recently bought 2 of these kits and they are super easy to install and the results are spectacular. The trigger is exactly how you want it. Soft, crisp, clean and most of all quality. Thanks for an awesome product.
I installed the trigger kit and was surprised it only took a few minutes. Trigger pull was reduced by over 2 lbs. Can't wait for the weather to warm up here in Missouri to get to the range.
I just now had the chance to replace the Pro Trigger Kit onto my Savage Axis .243. The online video made the installation process a breeze. The resulting trigger pull was remarkably crisp and a marked improvement in pull weight. The shims worked as designed eliminating the side-to-side drift of the trigger. I cannot wait to get to the range with my better than new Savage Axis. The M-Carbo claim of improving the trigger mechanism was dead on accurate and precise.
One went smoothly, final pull 3lbs. The other had some thread pitch issues with the trigger stop, I got it installed just in the opposite direction, final result was 4lbs with the 2.5 spring. Worthwhile, I assume there was a running savage change to the spring threads.
