Great affordable kit with a video that took longer to watch than I spent installing. I installed the 2.5# spring first, and while fantastic for target shooting, it's not what I want for a hunting rifle so I switched to the 3.5# spring. Easy crisp release compared to the pull/yank of the OEM trigger.
I had bought a Salvage 6.5, took it out to the range but was not happy with the trigger pull so I had put Mcarbo spring kit in my hand gun and loved it so I got one for this rifle and was very happy with the results.
Kit fit very well, springs seemed to be a little lighter pull than labeled but ok by me. The trigger stop is a game changer and will fit the savage axis 2 pro with no issues.

This was the easiest upgrade from Mcarbo to date, and what a difference it makes. I used this on a 308 and a 223 model Axis. Highly recommended!

I just recently purchased an axis trigger pro upgrade for my gun. From my first phone call to the company, to shipping to the actual product has been a really good experience. Everyone has been really polite, and easy to get ahold of. I have probably got at least 5 emails at least from the company before shipping, during shipping and after the product arrived from the company. Although I have not been able to live fire the gun The actual product has made a noticeable difference in the trigger pull weight. I think it's going to be a winner. I bought 3 of these kits and had them all installed within minutes. Instructional video is spot on. Customer service and follow up is better than any other company I’ve ever used. I honestly can’t say enough about the company. Product is great quality and took the movement out of the trigger and the pull was decreased almost by half. Can’t go wrong with this product or company!
Works as advertised. Definite improvement over the stock spring and the shims just made it even better.
So pleased with the results. The gun was bought for my daughter as a reward for striking out 9 batters in her pitching debut. The joy ended there. She didn’t shoot the gun well the trigger was spongey and unpredictable. Most of the pull readings were at 6 1/2 lbs. She had an opportunity in the youth season to take an 120” 8 pointer and passed. Not confident with the gun. Would she have harvested? I say yes Should she have shot? Hindsight tells me she made the right call. Enter stumbling upon MCARBO on YouTube. I was researching a fix for the trigger. After watching the video I ordered the Pro Trigger kit. Great shipping, great communication, and a great product. The spring wasn’t correctly seated from the factory. It had a huge curve in it. After a quick install and a little cleaning up the trigger and sear I had it back together and tested. A very predictable 2 1/2 pull. The best I can say is Thanks!
My Axis .243 had like a 6 lb pull and I was getting horrible groups. After installing this kit, I was able to toghten them down to 1/2 inch. I used the 2.5 and adjusted a tiny bit of trigger slack. It works great now and I can concentrate on the target and not the trigger. If your Axis doesn't have accutrigger, I suggest you get this kit. You will be surprised at the performance.
There is only so much you can do help a low budget gun but this hit the spot in every way easy install and now 3.8 lb pull down fro 6.2 lbs
