Hats off to the folks at MCarbo. This little upgrade greatly reduces recoil on sub 2000. I have the . 40 Smith and Wesson and she packed a punch before install this charging handle. It's easily installed. Only difficult thing is compressing the spring. Feels good after install and rapid fire doesn't bounce around nearly as much. Thanks guys. Well made product.
Much more comfortable feeling charging handle. I added a heavier bolt from the manufacturer at the same time. I can't be certain how much difference this made, but between the two it was really noticeable.
I first replaced the stock charge handle with the two finger version and it was a bit too long for me. So I purchased this heavy weight one and yes it does soften the recoil a bit. Of course this is a 9MM carbine and what we want from recoil is to get the sights back on target as soon as possible. Overall it's been a joy to deck out my Sub2K with all the MCarbo parts.
Bought this to help manage the .40 recoil. It still hits like a hammer, but the heavier charging handle seems to have helped a bit. As an added bonus, it's far easier to manipulate than the anemic stock charging handle. What makes it REALLY worth it for me is that, by slowing down the action just a bit, it allows more of the gas to escape via the barrel rather than into this southpaw's face, which made firing a stock Sub2k pretty unpleasant. Don't expect miracles on the recoil front, but the other benefits make this a no-brainer purchase for me.
The combination of this charging handle and the buffer for a .40 sub2000reduced my groups by 50% or better.

Definitely glad I made the purchase. Came with the locking spring connector for free also! Took about twenty minutes to fully install both items. Glad I watched the YouTube videos on this page tho. Recoil is MUCH less. 10/10 would buy.
I shot my Sub2000 gen 2 40cal for the first time today after installing the recoilless charging handle and man what a difference! It’s a hand full now, making it way easier to pull back. I also installed the muzzle break and the recoil buffer “cherry lifesaver” All I can say is WOW! Hardly any felt recoil left at all! I can actually focus on better shooting! Lol! Great job guys!!!
Upgraded my Gen 1 with this part...adds a nice feel and definitely improved felt recoil. Nice job guys!
Impressed by the quality of Mcarbo parts. This recoilless charging handle really makes a difference, I also installed the Mcarbo recoil buffer and my sub2k feels like a much more expensive gun now so much fun to shoot now
