The fit and finish of the steel feed ramp is flawless. I'm sure this one improvement will extend the useable life of my SUB-2000 by more than a hundred thousand rounds. Thank you MCARBO.
I ordered this at the same time I ordered the trigger bundle. If you are thinking about either, go ahead and get both, so you can install them at the same time! No use in opening up the gun to do something you can do in one fell swoop! Took about a half-hour to polish the feed ramp, then install was simple while I had the gun open installing the other parts. Feeds very well, and I don't have to worry about plastic failing at the least opportune moment.
The feed ramp is very well made. In addition to being polished steel it is larger than the OEM plastic feed ramp. I only installed it today so have not had a chance to take it to the range. I manually fed 20 or 30 rounds through it and that worked fine. I have the .40 cal Beretta version with 12 round mags and 25 round Promags. With the old ramp I would get about a misfeed or so. It would look as though the bullet bounced up off the plastic ramp and jam against the upper ramp. I'll try to update this to report how will the MCARBO ramp performs. Even if it only performed the same it is much much better than the plastic one. Chris did report that in their tests the .40 cal performed well. I have the trigger/spring kit, the trigger guard, the steel receiver pins and feed ramp. All the MCARBO parts are top notch and nice upgrades the the sub 2K in my experience.
Bought it, got it, buffed it, installed it. Really not much I can add to the previous glowing reviews. Get one, you won't regret it.
A part that takes a beating like a feed ramp should not be plastic! This is what should already be installed! Excellent fit and finish.
Why they didn't make the oem ramp steel is beyond me, but I'm glad MCARBO came through with this. I also bought the polish and it's so very smooth and shiny now. Must have upgrade.
Do not have the time to polish myself. But upon review it appears this product needs it. Sure do wish you would provide a finished product ready to be included in the gun. I am certain many would pay the extra to have such!

Purchased 15% off Memorial Day weekend....sweet! Plastic feed ramp had noticeable wear after 1000 rounds or so. Stainless steel feed ramp polishes quickly. Installation of the ramp itself is easy, however, plan on making time to check and recheck you trigger, hammer, and sear springs. At least one will come unseated.
I was getting misfeeds about 1/10 rounds, which was frustrating to say the least. I polished the stainless ramp to a mirror and installed the new ramp. The installation was a bit more involved than I anticipated (had to remove a lot of internals to get to the ramp), but not difficult. The install video was a lifesaver. After install, I immediate ran 100 rounds of aluminum through it and had zero misfeeds. Money and time well spent.
The feed ramp not only came quick (especially considering the covid lead time). The ramp runs well and there are videos online from mcarbo that helps with installation process. I highly recommend getting the polish kit with it. Doesnt take long to do and it makes the cleaning so much faster! Highly recommended for any Kel-Tech sub 2K owner.
I got this along with the trigger performance bundle with the flat trigger. I polished this little dude up to a mirror finish and it has worked great! The thought of a plastic feed ramp bothered me, although I have had no problems with it,, but SS makes me feel soooo much better. So far the performance has been flawless. I would recommend this to all.
This is the 1st modification you should do...it makes all the difference! take the time to polish it....and while you have the gun apart invest in the trigger kit and trigger guard. Its like having a new gun. Only took me about an hour and a half to do it all and the gun performs great!!
Wow...what a difference this made...easily 50% of my feed problems just disappeared...thanx for all you've done to make this weapons much better
Didn't have a problem feeding with the plastic feed ramp, but I only used it once with it in there. After time, especially with hollow pints that plastic piece will start getting scratched up and will cause issues. For reliability and piece of mind, spend the money on this. Although, I think it could be more around $20, the extra ten may be worth it in the long run.
