Yes! A missing piece of the puzzle! Happy to be rid of the plastic ramp, feeds much better.
Why kel tec decided to put a plastic feed ramp in the sub2k is beyond me....I never had any Feed problems but I know with that little piece of plastic having round after round slamming against it and heating up from firing. It's only a matter of time. Get the stainless steel polish it good before you install. Then you'll never have to worry about that part again.
I was installing several other Mcarbo parts, so while I had my Sub opened, I wanted to replace the plastic feed ramp. Wish KelTec did not use a plastic feed ramp, but thankful Mcarbo has developed this replacement.
I have not had the chance to shoot my Sub since installing the trigger kit and SS feed ramp but these are well made and crafted parts. The plastic feed ramp has always been a concern and this well make part fixes this issue. I had a tube of Flitz at home and used the Dremel buffing attachment to polish the ramp until its super slick.
Superior engineering and craftsmanship. The pistol functions flawlessly with ammo that it did not like before the upgrade. A little tricky to install but the video and written instructions are easily available and make the job do-able. Suggestion: Watch the video twice before you start the job.
This feed ramp is perfect. The stock feed ramp is great but a little low if you want to use hollow point rounds. The Stainless Steel ramp is a bit higher and indestructable. It provides very reliable feeding of Hollow Point rounds.
Easy exchange. Did not realize how flimsy and small the plastic ramp was. The steel ramp fits perfectly, no more gaps. I noticed that the new ramp does no longer allow you to open and close the firearm with a round in the chamber, which is probably a good thing.
Try it, you'll like it. No, you'll love it. How many of your pistols have non-metal feed ramps? Open up your Sub 2000 and put this Puppy in there!
I bought a drum for my sub2000 but it wouldnt feed rounds at all with the factory plastic feed ramp. Polished the stainless steel mcarbo ramp and installed it using their step by step video & not one hiccup so far. Very happy with this upgrade and even happier i get to use my drum now as i was kind of bummed when i first tried it out. Definitely a must have upgrade!
I orederd several upgrades for my sub 2000 (glock 9mm). All parts arrived within several days. I have used the Feed ramp polishing kit, only took about 30 minutes of pollishing, (drimel with flex shaft.) made short work of it. So far everything works as advertised.
Just wanted you all to know that I did not just buy the Stainless Steel Feed ramp...I bought the following: -Optic Mount -Rear tactical folding sight/Notch -Stainless steel feed ramp -Recoil Buffer -Grips Textured Rubber Adhesive -Aluminum trigger/flat -Trigger guard -Bolt tube cover -Armorers wrench -Recoilless Charging handle -RDL -Muzzle Break/mini -Trigger spring kit -Carbon Steel Grip pins -Screws update -Assembly Dowel---why not--I bought everything else -Stainless steel hammer bushing -Performance trigger bar All of them installed using the vidoes on MCARBO. Flawless execution and very easy to follow. Superior products. End result: Way less recoil, smooth trigger pull, no feeding issues, optic mount perfect=100 yard groups of 4.25 inch, and the overall usage performance enhanced. 700 rounds later...no issues at all. Thank you MCARBO team.
Polishing is messy but worth the time and effort. There is no denying the value of this simple upgrade. If your doing a trigger job you have to get to this any way just throw it down and you will not be disappointed.
I already left a review before I had fired the MCARBO feed ramp. Besides the plastic feed ramp feeling just wrong, I was having some fail to feed jams. I installed the steel ramp and took it to the range today and every round chambered properly. I did not polish the steel feed ramp. I have a number of nice guns that have feed ramps I cannot see myself in and they function fine. Regardless, the MCARBO ramp is an outstanding product IMO. My test was not definitive, but I think it is a necessary upgrade, especially in the .40 cal Baretta configuration. I'm convinced. I have a number of MCARBO upgrades installed and they're all excellent. I definitely recommend the trigger job, feed ramp, receiver pin & screw set ... Thank you MCARBO!
This steel/stainless steel feed ramp is nothing more than common sense. Plastic will fail in a short time do to bullet drag and heat. I highly recommend installing this vital option.
This is an excellent piece of machining at a very reasonable price. I bought the polishing kit and had everything mirror smooth in about 1/2 hour.
I purchased a stainless steel feed ramp for my Kel Tec because I thought the plastic was garbage I also bought the polishing kit and give it a real good polish and it functions as advertised a great upgrade to the plastic feed ramp
