I tried to do the installation myself and just didn't have the umph to compress the spring. It went in the mail on Monday and it came back the very next Monday. Excellent turn around time! And it went together slick as you please.

Last night, I did find two great MCarbo videos. In an article by Lucas Schatzberg, Waldo (?) shows how to turn the swing once the punch is inserted. Works great’ asa spring compressor!

Problem I experience, all day long, is that when I get a decent amount of tension on the spring (before it is compressed sufficiently to install the remaining end cap or tool-less locking pin) the first end cap pops off because the spring clips can not maintain sufficient tension.

This makes me wonder if the spring clips will retain the end caps sufficiently when actually firing the Sub2000?

Any advice?

I have compressed the spring both 1) holding the base in my hand and also 2) gently in a vise.

Either way, the spring clips release tension just as they do if you simply pulled them 180 degrees apart.

I am so amazed on how fast you talk and do things. So easy to understand and right to the point. How can anyone possibly go wrong in installing this add on after watching your How to do videos. This company is very lucky to have you. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Literally back in a week or less. Now free from the paranoia of losing the charging handle locking pin if cleaning my Sub2k if in a bad situation.

My gunsmith spent an hour and a half attempting to do this upgrade and finally called me and said he is unable to do it the spring is way too tight
