I installed this on my p365 ca version, I was not expecting such recoil reduction compared to before looks nice too. shot around 200 rounds 115gr republic 9mm ammo didn't have any malfunctions. Only changed I made so far is use XL frame, didn't change spring still worked fine
Installation was easy and the performance is exceptional! No muzzle flip and very accurate barrel!
The Sig X macro is one of my favorite pistols. I have one with an Icarus Precision grip. I wanted to have a backup and decided to run a 365 with a comp and an Icarus frame which would be the same size. This shoots much flatter than the macro with the integral porting on the slide. The dot stayed in my window.
As you can see I have an XL that barely qualifies as a Sig product anymore and a standard P365 with a few modifications. My XL with numerous modifications and the Strike Industries Quad Comp shoots like a dream for a handgun this size. However, the SI Quad Comp already has a stripped set screw that I would have to drill out if I ever want to remove the barrel, so never buying one of those again. Now we have the new M*Carbo comp and barrel. The gold barrel with this comp is a visual stunner, especially with the slide locked to the rear. I will be taking it to the range tomorrow and I have no doubts I will notice a reduction in muzzle flip. Thank you for bringing a solid option to the market, because we really have not had any great options for comps until now!
Having already purchased and installed MCarbo's heavy recoil spring for the p365, I thought that adding the compensator would be the end-all/be-all for dealing with recoil in Sig's micro 9. It was not. Even though it improved accuracy, definitely reduced recoil, it did not function well at all. The slide was not coming back far enough to strip a new round into the chamber. I reverted back to the original Sig spring that came in the p365X and everything became perfect. Perfect funtioning using several types of ammo (all 115 gr) FMJ and JHP. Then, at the suggestion of one of the range officers, I tried a handful of 124gr. EVEN BETTER! I tell ya, I am absolutely thrilled with the new compensator. After having fired over 500 rounds through it, I feel confident to make it my EDC. It's worth it.
I love the barrel design and overall quality. The compensator really blends in with my OEM P365 slide, the extra length is not an issue for me. Very reliable on the range, really helped with follow up shoot and reduce muzzle flip. Very good price point too, considered that some "competitors" are pricing their assembly at more than 300 dollars which is ridiculous to me.
Works great on XL with aftermarket barrel also. Cut into a kydex holster so I will be carrying both 365 OG and an XL with this compensator MCarbo claims they will sell compensator stand alone in the future.
