I received two number one pieces for the stock stabilizer kit for the Savage Axis 308. The number one piece fit into the number two spot somewhat, I kind of had to force it down in there. At that point I wasn't going to stop installation and request a number two piece so I made it work. I did spend $30 though. I've purchased several items through Mcarbo so I am somewhat ambivalent.
Received the Savage Axis inserts and installed in just a couple minutes. Definitely adds a good feel to the stock. I have not shot yet but am looking forward to tighter groups. Very much appreciate the speed and precision that MCARBO places on each customer and order.
I have a first addition savage axis with doodoo stock. It had crappy trigger and the stock was like a wet noodle. But damn it shoots accurately. Enter mcarbo. I went on the left wing rainbow , I mean Google, looking for help with my rifle. I purchased the Mcarbo trigger kit and stock stiffener. I couldn’t be happier with the results. No kiddin, the trigger is great and the stock feels 100% better. I carry it everywhere on the farm. I mean honestly, it’s my go to and I have a few “nicer” rifles. Mcarbo did a great service for fellas like me , I enjoy the rifle and really was bummed it’s was such a turd. Now this little .243 is just right on the money, without having to sell a organ to get a fine rifle. I really appreciate what they do at this company. Hopefully this helps.
Fast delivery and good fit. I chose to not use the glue due to the snug fit. So far the stiffness has defiantly increased. I am looking forward to some range time to see the difference in group size.

Great product fit very tightly. Them most forward module was a tad too long, easily trimmed back with a grinder. Can’t wait to get to the range and try it out with live rounds.

Bought this after installing the trigger upgrade kit for my Savage Axis. Was impressed by the quality of that kit, and this didn't disappoint either. Really stiffened up the stock and took the flimsy feel out of it.
I was sceptic at first but I thought I’d give it a try. What could it hurt. I sure am glad I did. This kit stiffened my stock and the flex is gone! I had to modify the piece nearest the end of the stock. A little sanding as it was too long for my stock. These pieces fit tight! I used JB Weld instead of the stuff you get with these. I had previously JB Welded the trigger guard on to the stock and reinforced the grip area as well. With this addition my stock feels like an expensive solid stock without the weight. Just installed today but I am confident the accuracy will improve. I would highly recommend this kit for your Axis stock.

Works well for the part of the stock it addresses. There is still some wiggle around the trigger, but there’s nothing these can do for that. The glue was hardened when it arrived. I put them in anyway till I could get some glue, and there was little to no change. Once I glued them in, they worked just as advertised. They keep the stock from contacting the barrel and screwing with the harmonics.
