Review
So maybe it's not a new $300 drop in trigger but it made a very noticeable difference. My Daniel Defense AR factory trigger had a terrible break and measured around 6.5 to 7 pounds. Now has a nice break and measuring 5.5 to 6 pounds. Installation was quick and easy.
This one little spring may be best dollar for dollar upgrade you will ever find for a AR rifle. It had no problem firing rounds that the spring that came in the aftermarket trigger kit that I installed would not. Also eliminated the bit of creep on my stock setup really crisp now. Great upgrade on its own or add it to another brands kit by far best AR hammer spring on the market. You better get 2
This is 2nd AR spring kit I have purchased from Mcarbo. They are light crisp and smooth all with 1 spring. 18$ shipped vs 150 - 300. No-Brainer
I was looking for a lighter but not too light and I found it with this trigger spring, as always great product and they never disappoint.
My second product from MCARBO. First for an AR 15. My wheeler trigger gauge put the pull right at 5.5lbs with stock spring. After installing the MCARBO trigger spring it brought the pull down to 4.25 lbs. Another great part from this company.
Purchased 2 kits, one for myself and one as a gift. Spring is easily instaled, reduces trigger pull and takes that gritty feeling away. , Semper Fi !
I purchased 3 of these springs for all my ARs combined with the Palmetto State Enhanced Polished Trigger. And Wow, the first AR I installed it on was my AR10. This spring kit combined with the EPT trigger is as close as the expensive trigger manufacturers as you can get. I can't tell a difference between this and the higher priced ones. These people have emailed me constantly with following up on just the spring kit. I recommended to all my friends who have ARs and don't want to spend the money on higher priced triggers this is definitely the best bang for the buck you can go.
I am so impressed by Mcarbo, instant repose from my order the item was shipped the next morning and a follow up giving me links to videos to install. The spring did exactly what the addvertiment stated, it took 2 lbs off the stock trigger pull, coupled with a quick polishing of the sear with a dermal tool and I now have a trigger that is amazing. I will be ordering one for each of my AR's
Awesome price, easy install and really cleaned up the trigger feel. Was on the fence on buying a drop in trigger for my PSA AR15. After doing this I'm more than content and I'm quite happy on how the trigger now feels
Crisp but smooth break. perfect pull weight for accuracy but not going to give you a ND in a CQB situation.
I took the plunge and bought 4 at once for rifles. I ran 10 trigger pulls before and after spring change. Please note as follows. #1 - 6lb 13.5oz / 3lb 7.8oz #2 - 6lb 12.5oz / 4lb 10.2oz #3 - (.308) 5lb 14.1oz / 4lb 5.0oz #4 - 6lb 5.6oz / 4lb 3.3oz I did my Hi Point 4595 last week and based on that I jumped in on others. I am happy with the results, smoother, crisper. Is it a Timney killer? No! s it a good improvement for about 10 bucks each, oh yeah. Ordered on Veterans day or for you older guys, Armistice Day, so I got another 10% off for 20%. Considering shotguns and marlin/ruger 22's. Please note I have no problem with leaving negative reviews, not necessary for this.
After installing this hammer spring, the pull was reduced by 1 lb.10 oz. to 4 1/2 lbs. and feels great. I haven't gotten out to the range yet to fire with hard primers, so can't increase to 5 stars until I know it fires them without fail. I will post an update.
Installation was a snap. Trigger pull reduced by about 1 LB. compared to milspec spring. Yet to take it to the range, but I anticipate the gun running like a champ.
3lb and 2lb reduction. 5lb end result in a Bushmaster and DPMS lower. Instructions were easy as they appear in video directions.
As a Professional Gunsmith & Trainer, I have always encouraged my clients to stay away from any springs that reduce trigger pull for the simple fact that they are neither reliable nor, with time, induce light strikes. Therefore I either stoned the triggers or encouraged them to install a drop-in trigger, and we all know how expensive those can be. Since my purchase, It has not only decreased my trigger pull but most importantly, I haven't had any misfires or malfunctions caused by light strikes. This is after completing a new training course where we fired over 1000 rounds over a week. Now I encourage everyone to visit my Veteran Bros at MCARBO, but it has provided me with a great product to combine with some stonework to produce a great trigger.
I ordered 2 of these (for 2 lowers). I have installed 1 of the 2 and so far it didn't reduce the trigger pull much. I have all S&W lower internals (mil spec). My trigger pull went from just over 8 lbs to just over 7.5 lbs, so not a great improvement.
