Although the specialists at KelTec say there is supposed to be a gap between the magazine and the well, this reduces excessive gap and assists in feeding the rounds.

Great item to purchase!

It does what it says! I have not dropped my magazine by accident since it was installed and it seems to keep the magazine more staple.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Latches tighter than the OEM latch does. Easy install. MCARBO is on my favorites list!

The enhanced mag release was easy to install and works great!

A little more encouragement to review all of the available products for the PMR30 would have helped me to get all of the improved pieces/parts at once. I saw the additional products but was not keenly aware what a huge difference the entire package would make. Or, maybe it was just me...

Great stainless steel feed ramp

All ammo fed great that was 1910 fps or higher. The best was CCI V-Max 30 grain.

Happy and suprised

I purchased the mag release for both my CMR and PMR. Both were very easy to install. My biggest surprise was I fired two 30 round mags full through both, rapid fire and no misdeeds or stove pipes. I wanted to see if the mag release would solve the problem without the ss feed ramp and it did. I even shot 30 gr CCI maxi mags through both of them. I didn’t have issues if I only put 25 rounds in the mags before but if I put 30 rounds in, I had miss feeds and stovepipes for the first 5 rounds. Vey happy with the results, would recommend installing the mag releases!!

Hello all. I’m happy to say I installed the enhanced mag release for the PMR 30 along with the New stainless steel feed Ramp. My PMR 30 runs flawlessly now as opposed to the occasional hangups stove pipes and misfires before installation Note: if you’re looking to upgrade your PMR 30 I recommend the all in one package. Easy website easy ordering and quick delivery four stars all the way

This upgrade not only makes it much more difficult to accidently release the mag, it also braces the mag much higher in the mag well. The bullets are now much more parallel to the feed ramp and I've had zero failure to fire instances since installing this. There is little to no play with mag now as well. Great upgrade!

Installed just fine

I installed this mag release today. It was fairly easy using my vice to hold the pistol and head-mounted light. It always pays to have the right tools as well as Chris’ good installation videos. I have never purchased an MCARBO part I didn’t like. Buy with confidence.

Purchased mag release for CMR-30. Followed PMR-30 video and successfully replaced factory release. Good video.

Thanks.

I had previously installed the S/S feed ramp and enhanced magazine release on my PMR-30. This time I did the enhanced magazine release on my CMR-30. Both went very well. However I will say that I hate working with springs. Ha! Ha! Great instructional videos that I have come to expect and rely upon from M-Carbo. A much better mag fit on both guns. I have had the PMR-30 at the range with flawless performance. I am anxious to get the CMR-30 out there as well with high expectations. Great job guys! Keep up the great work.

Just received a pair of these. Installation, in both a PMR and a CMR, was a breeze. A definite improvement over the factory mag release. Will function/fire test later but am confident they'll be fine. Again, very simple install with no grief.

Kel-Tec PMR30: MCarbo Enhanced Mag Release is too wide

Review

Pic 1: Kel-Tec original mag release allows for minimal gap in clam shell just above the mag release.

Pic 2: MCarbo enhanced mag release caused a gap in clam shell. Release was binding and sticky.

Pic 3 & 4: MCarbo mag release is 0.27 inches wider thus preventing the clam shell halves to close.

Pic 5: I had to slightly file down the inside of the magwell where the mag release was touching (i.e., where the pin goes through). Now the clamshell halves fit tighter and the mag release is responsive.

CHRIS Nelson: In your installation video of installing the All-In-One Bundle PMR30, you had trouble closing the gap also after the MCarbo mag release was installed. At one point you tried to pound it together with a rubber mallet (but eventually just lived with it even though your OCD was getting the best of you). Forcing the clam shell halves back together is not the solution. The right solution is to redesign the enhanced mag release to be slightly thinner as the Kel-Tec original. Mine works fine now but could not give it 5 stars because of this trouble. I saw that another reviewer had the exact same issue and did a filing job also. On a positive note, I really appreciate the installation videos. The rest of the all in one bundle components appear to fit great. Look forward to going to the range to try the upgrades out. Keep up the good work.

Request: Brother, we need an elevation adjustment for the iron sights whether it be on the front or rear sight. Many blogs out there agree. What are the chances MCarbo can produce this???

Holds the magazine higher. I also bought the feed ramp. Love it too. Replacing a few parts in a gun that costs 400 bucks was no big deal to me. I thought about replacing the trigger but changed my mind After digging into the the gun. The plastic one is just fine

M*CARBO Mag Release Upgrade for Kel-Tec PMR-30 and CMR-30

Review

I ordered Mag Release Upgrade on Mon. received by Sat. and installed on Sunday. Less than one week from order to install.

I had already changed magazine base pads to "TANDEMKROSS MAVERICK" Extended Base Pads and the PMR-30 worked well with the M*CARBO Mag Release Upgrade, but on the CMR-30 I had to switch back to Kel-Tec's original Magazine Base Pad to get M*CARBO's Mag Release to catch. I do like M*CARBO's Mag Release! Maverick Extended Magazine Base Pads are not tight and have too much wiggle.

All in All I really liked M*CARBO's Upgrade kit. I am a steel guy and PMR-30 & CMR-30 are my only two plastic guns. M*CARBO's video and instructions gave me the confidence to disassemble these plastic guns. Something I wouldn't have attempted before. That's the best part and I appreciate M*CARBO's sharing their expertise.
