I bought the guide rod for the CZ 75 Compact, easy to install and fits perfectly. CZ should have made a metal guide rod from the factory. Mcarbo’s guide rod is a great upgrade from the flimsy plastic one from the factory. I would recommend this upgrade.
Bought this to replace the plastic guide rod my CZ-75D Compact PCR came with from the factory. So glad I made this purchase, its much more robust and will never fail, fit & finish are perfect.
First thing I did when I got my new CZ was take it apart. It looked like the plastic guide rod had already started to warp. Not sure if that is normal being this is my first CZ, but My S&W 910 has a plastic guide rod and 20 years later it is still straight. I figured for 20$ it was worth a try and I think this guide rod should last almost forever.

This spring guide is the perfect upgrade from the flimsy plastic guide that came with my CZ 75D PCR. This helps to reduce the binding of the stock recoil spring and helps increase the linear function of the recoil spring. I have also found that this upgrade makes racking easier as well, no more crunchy racking of the slide!!
This is a great guide rod for the compact with a steel frame but I wouldn't recommend this for the PCR or any aluminum frame CZ's. The guide rod naturally tilts just a little when the slide is back which is normal but it causes the steel guide rods to round off the frame where it makes contact inside. I noticed this happening in my PCR with this guide rod after about 500 rounds. There are various other forms warning about this.
