After field-stripping my Ruger PCC and cleaning I could not get the trigger assembly to re-seat on top of the bolt assembly in the lower receiver. The problem per attached photo was the OEM buffer and retainer ring wear very easily and it doesn't help that you have to grab the buffer and yank on it to get the bolt out. So that wear pattern and distortion in the buffer was just enough to keep the whole bolt assembly from seating in the bolt carrier and preventing the trigger assembly from seating on top of that. Replaced with m*carbo buffer and steel retainer which are better engineered and everything went back together exactly as God intended. Prompt USPS delivery. Thanks guys.
I purchased this because it looked much better than the stock part, and it is much better!!!! The audible noise while shooting is definitely reduced so I hope it is providing less wear on my receiver. Thanks guys, Scott
Ruger PC Carbine Shock Buffer is extremely well made and installation was easy and went as directed.
Installation was very easy, fit is perfect had no problems. Would like to see sturdier retaining clip. Recoil much milder and help to stay on target. Nice job fellows, ready more. Thanks.

Did a full upgrade on my PC Ruger this weekend replaced the Edge Extractor, Shock Buffer, Bolt Head and Extractor Pins, SS Recoil Spring Retainer, and SS Trigger Pin Group Pin Kit. Very happy with the quality of these replacement parts over the factory parts.

I purchased this part and installed it in accordace with the video by the President of Mcarbo. Although it is very stylish don't let it fool you. It took me about a month to get out to the range after installation and right away problems. The bolt would not hold open on the last round and would only fire one round at a time while having to chamber every round. I emailed and called Mcabro several times "NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT TO ME BY PHONE OR EMAIL". I took the gun to a gunsmith and was still having the same problem until I reinstalled the original stock buffer and it's all working as perfectly normal as before. The take away from this is everything that looks good/stylish is "NOT". Thanks Mcabro
Was having a major eject issue with the Ruger carbine. Replaced with mcarbo parts, recoil buffer, recoil spring retainer, extractor and pins. Gun works perfectly. Ran 100 rounds with no issues. Thanks mcarbo, will order again. Also the install videos are top notch. Jim B
Installation was straight forward. Shot about 50 rounds with and without back to back. I would say cycling of gun is a little quieter and a small reduction in recoil. Should last longer than stock unit. zgood upgrade
Bought my carbine brand new. after a few reviews suggested some upgrades I purchased this item and installed it on a rife with less than 10 rounds fired. no noticeable difference at this time
Awesome product. Installed with new extractor, pin, and bolt head pins. Totally upgraded my carbine. Service is top notch. If you know how to clean your PCC, you can install these parts. Outstanding! Let’s go Brandon!

Seems to work good. Pretty easy install. Don't have anyway to compare as I installed on my Ruger PC Charger before I fired it.
The shock buffer is ok but very expensive for what you get. After watching the installation video I thought the spring and retaining clip were included. Disappointed!
