I recently purchased my FN 509 compact MRD and the trigger pull weight was exactly 7 pounds. Take up seems fine, not gritty like many reviews I have read suggested, but heavier than I like. I installed the MCarbo trigger spring kit following the installation video online. Installation was fairly easy with the video, and my trigger now breaks at just under 5 pounds. I've only fired about 50 rounds and since installing the spring kit, and no failures. Besides the spring kit, all other components are factory, including the trigger and striker.
Great kit. Installed easily with help of the video on their site and the right tools. Took my 509 from a factory 7.25# pull to 4.75# pull and seem to get rid of most of the creep that it had. Fast shipping also.
Followed the video on YouTube and it made the install pretty easy. I was nervous about doing it and figured worse case I'll take it to a gunsmith to finish it up. I bought wrong spring kit...my fault. M*CARBO quickly shipped me the correct kit. Excellent customer service!!
I bought the 509 spring kit to pair with my apex trigger in my 509t. Installation of the spring kit was fairly simple and with a quick video review if the sear housing anyone should be able to do the job. I have noticed a significant decrease in trigger pull weight compared to the stock 509 and some of the take up grit has gone as well. I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a lighter trigger pull and a better reset to their gun.

This kit reduced the trigger pull around 2lbs. I wish I could buy a new trigger from Mcarbo.
Recently bought this spring kit for my fn509c! Couldn't be more happy with it! What a difference it made in trigger pull and overall functionality of my gun! Installed the m-carbo spring kit along with the apex flat faced trigger assembly and brought my trigger pull weight down from 7.3 lbs to an impressive 3.5 lb trigger pull! After watching the video several times , so I wouldn't screw up. It was fairly Simple.. the Dreaded firing block ( pin) that is meant to STAY-- Actually Moved & easily came out ! but after Disassembly - Cleaning- Replacement Of all the Springs . I felt A little bit of Difference Mechanically - Will find out How It shoots once I get to the Range....

I am pleasantly surprised with the difference your fn 509 spring kit has made. I have a compact version and absolutely love the ergonomics of this pistol, but the trigger weight is way too heavy. Your kit has made this pistol fantastic. Thank you
Installed the spring kit and could instantly feel a pull reduction. Went to the range and put roughly 150 rounds through it. Not one issue. Highly recommend this spring kit! Watch their install video if you have any uneasy feeling about being able to do it.
Nice smooth pull installed with apex flat trigger ..only thing is I was getting light primer strikes with apex heavy duty striker just make shure you have original striker or put inn stock striker spring
Installed this spring kit with an Apex trigger kit and the results are amazing! Stock trigger is battle club ready. Now it's a nice shooting pistol.
Love the kit . Installed easily except for some fidgeting with the sear spring with a noticeable reduction in trigger pull. One small problem for me in this time of ammo shortages. I've got some Wolf steel cased 9mm that I've been using and my last time out after installing the kit I had two light primer strikes in the first 5 rounds. I immediately switched to some old Federal ammo I brought along (just in case) and had no other issues. Point is in this time of shoot what you can find be aware that some type ammo with harder primers may not function with the reduced weight striker spring and I would be cautious if using the lighter spring in a self defense gun unless you seriously test it with your carry ammo. I do like the results but will only use it as a range gun with the lightened spring.
