The 509 is a sweet gun, but the trigger sucks. I’ve never done a trigger/spring kit upgrade on a firearm, but after watching the install video on YouTube, I was confident I would be able to tackle it. It only took me about 20 mins, and that was slowly going step by step with the video. The trigger feel/pull is significantly better. For $25, this is an absolute no brainer. Just put 100 rounds through it and it ran flawlessly.
Put this in an FN 509 EDGE. Trigger went from 7.9 lbs, to 3.6 with excellent repeatability.
I bought this kit from MCARBO and installed it in my FN 509 Tactical with the Apex enhanced trigger, the Apex heavy duty striker, Apex heavy duty extractor. I only intentionally left out the striker spring from the kit. (Another user mentioned that they had light primer strikes with the heavy duty striker and swapping the striker spring back to factory alleviated the issue.) Haven't taken it to the range yet, but the trigger feels AMAZING doing functions checks. I can't wait for everyone to calm down about this Coronacrap, so I can get out to the range and put a few hundred rounds through it! :)
My FN 509T had the worst trigger ever. I bought this spring kit and polished all of the internals. The trigger pull is considerably lighter around 4.5lbs w/ the spring kit installed. Super product, super company to do business with. Fast shipping, too!
When I purchased my FN 509 tactical, I was told by the sales rep at the gun shop that after 500 rounds the trigger would break in nicely. That was not the case and after 1000 rounds the trigger was still pulling at 7.1 pounds. I am a Glock guy so 7 pounds is too heavy for my preference. I added the spring kit and it dropped the pull to 4.5 pounds. Wow! What a difference it Now I love the gun and it is new my favorite to carry. Cheap solution, dramatic difference. Very satisfied!
Triger and shorter reset is more crisp. Recommend to get rid if the stock grittiness.
It does lower the trigger pull weight to the firearm. However, at the expense of reliability. I hadn’t had an issue for the first 50 rounds. Since that time though I’ve had an issue with one round for every 15 I shoot.
Installed this along with the upgraded striker, was an easy day though I thought it might mimic the P365XL upgrade, much easier and feels and works flawless. Thanks MCARBO for great install videos
This is a great product so far. It was shipped and received in a timely manner. The spring kit was easy to install on my 509c with only 1 punch needed and some needle nose pliers. It took me about 30 minutes to do without ever going past basic field stripping on a pistol before. The video provided by MCarbo was extremely helpful. I don’t own a trigger pull gauge, but the trigger weight feels about 50% lighter and greatly reduces the grinding felt. I only have about 50 rds through it with the new spring kit, but have had no issues yet. I highly recommend this product. My only disagreement with their video would be where that grind comes from on the pistol. I think it comes from where the barrel contacts the actual trigger (steel on plastic). If you lube that spot, it significantly helps. There is no grind when the slide is removed, so the location they claim doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
Within a 1/2 hour you upgrade your trigger pull . Great video for install. Well worth the money.

The trigger spring kit eliminated the grittiness of the stock trigger, I can only describe it as smoother and lighter pull which in term allows for faster refocus on follow up shots. This is my 7th kit for my firearms and is always the first upgrade to my firearms before I move up to a custom trigger. As always, shipped fast and it arrived before the projected delivery date. A+ every time.
Took me about an hour to install this (first time I’ve ever done something like this). The help video was an incredible help .. couldn’t have done it without it. The trigger feels amazing. I installed this on my 509c Tactical — feels like a whole new gun.
Used this spring kit in an FNS40. Wow! Before and after, was a huge difference. Very easy installation. Followed Chris in the video. The only issue was the tiny sear spring. Chris must have the dexterity of a brain surgeon. After fumbling for a while I managed. Well worth the effort smoothed pull and reduced weight. My friend was impressed. Said the more we shot it the smoother and better it got (new pistol). This isn’t the first kit I’ve bought, and it won’t be the last! Keep up the great work!
I purchased this product for my FN 509 compact, because the trigger was terrible. Too heavy and very unpredictable. Product shipped within two days, which is awesome. The “how to install” video was absolutely awesome!! Took me about an hour to get the new spring kit installed. What an amazing difference. Nice smooth medium to light trigger pull every time. Worth every penny. I would definitely buy from this company again.
Was a little intimating, but with some help from the video, got it. Did reduce the trigger pull and overall made the gun fun to shoot.
