Excellent product…easy installation…reduces block impact and lessens recoil…
I suggest using a rubber recoil buffer on the guide rod also before putting on mcarbo spring to save the reciever. This spring is super strong and it takes a lot of strength to put it on..BECAREFUL IT CAN CAUSE INJURY FROM THE STRENGTH.IT is no wimp spring.

Just received my AK recoil spring. It's definitely longer than a typical spring (and with no dead coils), which makes it harder to install. I needed gloves and an assistant to make it happen on my WASR 10. Will be testing it out soon at the range.
Put this on my Mak 90 Sporter. Haven't taken it to the range yet but its very easy to tell how much stiffer this spring is compared to the factory spring. I'm looking forward this!!!!!!!

As soon as I removed the original spring I could tell the mcarbo spring was much more heavy duty. The installation video made it a cakewalk to install. Very pleased with this purchase.

Awesome recoil spring works great lighter recoil more reliable no more sticking bolt carrier it does everything its supposed to do. Installed this on my century arms ak and WOW!!!! Could feel the difference in felt recoil first shot, would definitely recommend this product and buy again for any future ak’s!!!
Bought this to replace the original worn out recoil spring in my Romanian AKM I built. Made such a huge difference. I should have installed this spring right from the start. Still overgassed but I'm not getting as much slap from the recoil. I've got another AK I'll be building soon. I will install another one of these from the start.
I recently purchased a new Yugo M70 AK and it is ridiculously over gassed. It was so bad that the check slap bruised my face after only 6 rounds. Between the improved spring, a new M4 style stock, and a good muzzle break I’ve reduced the knock out check slap to a tap. Product works as it should. Expect more resistance when charging the AK, so going extra on arm day if you’re doing cross over charging of the weapon lol. Good customer service and a quality product. Buy with confidence
The spring came as advertised but it is hard to install. I unfortunately bent my recoil spring guide trying to place. I feel the product is top notch just did not work for my IO inc AK. Thanks.
Difficult install. Definitely strong (probably more than 15 percent vs the old Romanian one). 2 person job for sure. If it doesn't cycle, can just drill out gas block bigger. Applied generous coat of miltec-1 and baked it on like 5 times. (And at least 3 coats on everything else) Runs firmly but smoothly.
Best upgrade to help with control and extend the life of your ak!
