Just finished with the trigger job, instruction video was very helpful and made the installation easy, with the sanding and polishing the trigger pull and reset is much smoother but the factory pull was 5.5 lbs. and after the new springs it is only 4.75 lbs. not close to the 2.5 lbs. advertised.
spring kit for my shield ,was good except for the firing pin spring ,too weak . called M*CARBO about it . they send me a new spring right away ,and that one makes my gun work flawlessly . thank you .And God bless .
this is one of 12 spring kits I have purchased, great up grades for little $, who does not like that
It worked as described. They have good videos that explains everything. The only problem is if it's a new gun the roll pins are hard to get out .
I ordered it and got it in 2 day. It was easy to install and it reduced my trigger pull from 5 lbs 10 oz to 2 lbs 7 oz
This is clearly the best 'how to' video I've ever seen. I was encouraged to attempt the trigger spring kit install myself even though I'd never disassembled a gun before. The YouTube guided me through the install easily. (except for the rear sight removal and reinstall. Note to others: if you place the slide in freezer overnight, the steel contracts just enough to make sight removal and install a whole lot easier!) Prior to the kit install, my trigger pull was at just about 6lbs. Afterwards it tested at 2.8 and is now very smooth; I am just thrilled!
Great spring kit!! Easy to install ( except for fighting with the rear sight)and great video instructions. My 45 cal Shield didn't feel like I just lubricated with sand anymore. Now to do the same with the 40S&W Shied. Hoping the trigger pull is lighter with that one.👍
Installation was't difficult. The video was very helpful. Spent more time sanding and polishing then I expected. The trigger is very smooth and pull is less. I didn't get a 55% reduction in trigger pull but I got a great trigger. Quality product at a very resonable price.
A little effort required to install, but for the price this is the best value mod. Lowered trigger pull and improved accuracy.
40 s&w performance center, upgrade. while adding new spring kit, we also removed and polished striker and all other interactive components. trigger pull total upgrade, before it had a rather hard trigger pull even though it was advertised as being enhanced from the factory. really pleased with quick delivery and all the components, even the small sand paper.
I bought the trigger spring kit for a S & W 9mm and it was exactly what I wanted, got the trigger pull from 5.5 down too 2.5.
Well all I can say, you better hope you get all the right parts. I ordered a spring kit for a Shield. Everything was good. Until it came to the striker spring, it was too small. Emailed MCARBO about the problem, thinking it was going to be handled. But my request was pending until I left feedback. That's been a week and half ago. Still haven't heard anything. So I'm leaving this feedback, don't know if it's going to do any good. I'm doing what they asked. All other parts were top notch. There's no after sale support.
Easy parts to install. Video was spot on all the way through. You guys are great! This is not my 1st purchase nor will it be my last. Keep up the good work!
The how-to video is superb. All steps, no matter how basic, are explained and demonstrated to the point that someone who has never touched a pistol could do this procedure. Best example of the devil is in the details. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
Purchased this spring kit to help the rather gritty trigger pull of my Shield. After reading horror stories about removing the rear sight, I had a gunsmith with the proper tools remove it for me. Followed the video installing the spring kit myself and reinstalled the rear sight on my own (reinstalling must be easier than removing). Happy to say not only is the grittiness gone, but the trigger pull is lighter as well with zero reliability issues.
I've been a gunsmith for more than a decade, I've seen my fair share of promises from items that doesn't come close to advertised. This is Not that, I installed this kit for a customer and with polishing, spring swap, and alil trick I have to adjust alil pre travel. I'm getting a consistent, drop safe, pull of 3.3lbs.
