I have a Marlin 917V and the trigger pull was horrible, got this new spring and dropped the pull down to about 3 lbs. Super easy to install, high quality spring.
Let me start with Thank you for your service! My family and I greatly appreciate your sacrifice. The spring kit for the Marlin 917V works perfectly. Installing the spring was simple after watching the video on your website. I measured the trigger pull before and after. Before I installed the new spring the trigger pull was 3.75-4lbs. After the installation of the M*CARBO spring kit the trigger pull is 2.5-2.75lbs. Trigger pull was tested using a Wheeler trigger pull gauge. I couldn’t find any gun grease with PTFE locally. I used Outers choke tube and gun grease. I believe my trigger pull will be even lower when I clean out the Outers grease and lube with a grease with PTFE. Again thank you for your service and thank you for providing a high quality replacement spring for the Marlin 917V!
Reduced trigger pull from 5.5 pounds to 3 pounds. Huge improvement for minimal cost. The trigger mechanism is smooth and breaks clean. The videos make the spring installation job a breeze.
I finally installed by spring today. Shipping was fast but, I couldn't get to it until today. East to install. I followed the video and it took just a few minutes to get the new spring installed. Wow!! The trigger press is smooth and about half of what it was. I am about to load up and test it out on a feral hog :)
I purchased Marlin 917V recently. Previously had been using that same rifle and tried several other brands. The Marlin I had been using was well worn and well taken care of but it belonged to a friend and I had to return it. The newer Marlin I purchased had a markedly heavier trigger pull. Purchased the Mcarbo spring. Installation was easy and it works as advertised. The only thing I did differently from the video was that I didn't use grease as I live in a super dusty environment and didn't grit sticking to the trigger mechanism. Instead, I used pencil graphite on the moving parts with excellent results. Recommended purchase.
I bought the spring online and had it in a couple of days. It has made a big difference in my trigger. I would recommend it to anyone with a 917V.

I just had the M*CARDO trigger spring installed on my Marlin Model 25 it was a welcome improvement to the heavier stock spring for target shooting. It was quick to install and a great bargain.
Have bought spring kits now for Ruger, CZ and Marlin. All worked as advertised and improved the trigger pull on each rifle.
