Had to update my review. I took my Ruger PC out today and put 100 rounds through it with the muzzle brake installed and let me tell you, it felt amazing. Zero muzzle jump. So easy to keep on target I couldnt believe it. If you dont install one of these on your rifle you are putting yourself at a strategic disadvantage. Its almost like magic. MCarbo is the real deal. No matter what words I choose to describe this it doesnt do the muzzle brake justice. Just get one and some rocktite, watch the video and get it done.
The MCARBO muzzle brake is worth every penny! It flat-out works great and installation is the easiest I've ever experienced. GET THE ROCK SET - it's great. Let's face it, recoil on the 9mm ain't bad (compared other stuff I shoot), so I was after the muzzle control. It improves rapid fire control & also makes the gun look badass. The jam nut design is awesome. I'm no gunsmith & haven't got a barrel vice required for installing & timing muzzle devices. Chris, if you're listening, I can tell you that your jam nut pocketing into the muzzle brake is a genius design. Please consider developing muzzle brakes for other calibers & purposes using this great design. Just yesterday I was wishing you had a .223 like this one ... I had to take the rifle & brake to a gunsmith to have it timed. Once again, I see a market for what I just mentioned.
I was able to install this myself very easily after watching the prepared video outlining simple steps to time the muzzle break installation using the supplied crush washer. I have not as yet had an opportunity to use my Ruger PC9 Carbine since I installed the muzzle brake but from video reviews that I have watched, the recoil, and thus the accuracy, were much improved.
I recently purchased the muzzle brake, magazine release, and extended charger handle, all thee were very easy to install, watch the coddles, and high quality parts, that improved the operation of my Ruger PC, tremendously! Looking forward to my next round of upgrades. Well Done M*CARBO

noticeable results. shoots flatter. installed buffer pad at the same time and recoil (which is not bad to begin with) really improved. highly recommend both.

I took a slow motion video before and after installation with all the same variables including ammunition and the difference was obvious. It was a bit difficult to install without a vice but not impossible.
Product is well designed, etc. After watching your install video using crush washer a number of times, I almost had it, but had to over rotate to get to what I thought was enough tension. Net result was a crushed washer and loose brake. I made things worse removing the washer causing barrel end thread problems. Had to take it to my local gunsmith for getting threads sharp and for a few more bucks had him put it in with in house crush washer. Product looks great on. I won't be able to take it to the range for test for a while as I had knee replacement surgery just a few days after getting the item on
This muzzle break was so easy to install and worked great! No issues after several rounds. Looks badass as well, which is always a plus. Great product!
Chris I just finished installing all options you offered in the the PC 9 Bundle except the Extra Power Recoil Spring and the Trigger Spring kit. Which are now discontinued. Chris...I'm asking you to please bring them back...No Chris...I'm begging you...The two most important parts for the Carbine redo. Your products are the best in the market right now. After installing all the updates...The Carbine is as slick as a hot knife thru butter...all parts very well made...But the Carbine is still crying out for more...Ordered the Muzzle Break today and now I guess I'm finished with updates...But in my mind I feel like something is missing for perfection and balance. I will keep my fingers crossed and my eyes open...That this problem can somehow this problem can be solved...Chris you have the best site online for firearms updates...The prices seem fair and your customer service is outstanding and Shipping is LIGHTING FAST. This Muzzle brake looks good on the gun and also serves as an excellent compensator to reduce muzzle flip.
Got the full size and was quite impressed. Between it and all the internal upgrades, recoil on my PC-9 has been reduced to almost zilcho, and muzzle rise is effectively none. Good stuff. Required some creativity to install (only because my vise was broken) but it all worked out in the end
I haven't taken it to the range yet, but the comp looks really nice. Super easy to install. I went ahead and got the Rockset to add to the threads.
