A worthwhile investment. Easy to install and a marked improvement in the trigger pull. Very well made. I'm happy with my Remington 597 now.
Spring installed with Volquartsen hammer. There is some difference, more positive engagement and no slop movement in Remington 597 trigger housing. Price is expensive, 20 bucks would be much fairer price and the bushings price at 6 bucks for two is even better.

I am happy with the results that this product has brought to my Remington 597. It felt the trigger pull getting lighter at least 50 percent reduction. I didn't measure the trigger pull as I don't have a measuring tool to do that, but I feel big a difference when it come to trigger pull. I am sure my accuracy will improved too! The springs and bushings are higher quality than stock and improved trigger pull noticably but the installation was trickier than I thought but with patience I did accomplish the task.
The factory trigger in my 597 was ok for a factory trigger. After installing this MCARBO spring kit my trigger went from ok to VERY, VERY NICE! I don't have a gauge, but there is a definite reduction in the weight of the trigger pull! The kit does exactly what MCARBO says it will do, and for around $30 its a no brainer! If you have a 597 this is pretty much a must have item! For 30 bucks you can't go wrong!

I got to install the hammer spring and bushings on my 597 today. These bushings are so precisely made I thought I might have to shorten them to get them to install. That was not the case as everything went together just perfectly. Many years ago I installed the Volquartsen trigger and had a 2.25 pound trigger pull. With the M*CARBO hammer spring and bushings it is now a right at 2 pounds even. The drop test was passed with no problems. Now I just need to get to the range to make sure everything functions properly.
Just installed the MCARBO spring kit in my Rem-597 and added a Jogquartsen hammer. What was a beast of a trigger to pull is now a kitten, like butter smooth. Great job MCARBO.
The ordered Remington 597 trigger kit arrived yesterday and was installed an hour later. I installed and tested your kit and had a significant improvement, then a combo of your spring kit and the Volquartsen hammer. In this case I will keep the combo even then the trigger is almost too light. I have bounced the rifle to the floor with some other ruff movements without it got off and the safety works, so it seems to be safe. I only use the 597 for our extremely prestigious and totally un-official gun-club’s semi-automatics 50yrd target contest, but I would have stayed with your spring kit if I would have used the rifle more versatile, the improvement of the trigger with your kit is great and to the cost, very good value for the money! own a Remington 597 LS heavy barrel over ten years. have probably put less than 50mrounds thru it due to failures to feed and a 6 1/2 pound trigger. figured out the failure to feed, and ordered a mcarbo spring kit. the trigger now breaks at 3 pounds. was easy enough to install even without instructions. which i later found in a detailed e-mail. can't wait to go to the range. i recommend this product for any remington 597
Unlike the Marlin 60 spring kit I installed this one made a world of difference in the trigger pull. With this spring kit and a VQ hammer the trigger is now around 2 to 2.5 lbs. outstanding.
Received the spring kit only two days after ordering. Great service. The spring kit was a breeze to install. Couldn't get out to the range for several weeks, but when I did I was very pleased with the new trigger feel. The trigger breaks a lot crisper than with the stock spring and with much less effort. Tightened up shot groups. Can hit a quarter at 50 yards with Golden Bullets all day long. Just in time for squirrel season.
