I lost a spring while cleaning the weapon. I found this on line and ordered it. The part was delivered in a timely manner and well packed for shipment. It is actually of a higher quality than the original
It was a much needed product, smoother action a lot better trigger pull.
The video was great. No problems and I cut my trigger pull by 1.5 lb's . On average I get 3.5/4 lb"s. The reset is good also Thanks -CARBO
I just replaced the firing pin spring, that reduced the trigger pull from over 8 to 6 pounds. That is a big improvement. Next up is the hammer spring, I will update when completed.
I put this kit in my wife’s LCP because she thought the trigger pull made her finger sore. Solved the problem and her accuracy went up. Then I got one for mine because I shot better with her gun. Installed them by watching the video and only took 20 min.
I had installed this kit in a LCP2 so I decided to try it in a LCP Max. Other than a couple of differences the install went well. The pin holding the firing pin has to be driven out side to side instead of from bottom of slide. Also there is a little different hammer to sear configuration which was a problem at first but once I figured it out, all went well. Trigger pull was reduced to the #’s indicated. Can’t go wrong with Mcarbo.
Cut pull in half. Easy to install. Just follow the video.
Put new springs in ruger. Made about 2lb difference in trigger pull. Great video to help with the install. I would recommend these springs.
Ordered this along with the Stainless Steel Guide Rod, Heavy Duty Takedown Pin, and Extra Power Mag Release Spring, I also bought a Galloway Short Pull Trigger. Factory was 7.5 pull, and after the Upgrades the trigger pull was 4.5 pull. Cycled perfectly. Good Job!!!
Got 2of these kits. One for my LCP 2 and one for my wife’s. Both trigger pulls improved. My wife could even tell the difference with her gun.
Extremely pleased with this kit and the one I installed in my LC9s Pro. Great products, great customer service, and fantastic instructional videos. Thank you M Carbo team.
I have bought other spring kits from MCarbo and all are great, this was no exception. However, unlike the other kits I have installed, the MCarbo video for installation of the LCP II in 22 LR did not match the pistol exactly. The MCarbo video was for the .380. The .22 LR has a couple of extra, and very small, parts in it. I followed the video along and when the aluminum block came out of the grip, these parts fell out. I spent a long time attempting to put it back together and then looking for an accurate video. I finally found one. I hate to post this on the MCarbo site, but it might save someone some grief until Chris can get a video made. The MCarbo videos are excellent and the link leads to a competitors video. Even though the guy in the video does not do as good a job and Chris does, it will get you through it. Here is the link for .22 LR https://youtu.be/na_X8n_xVp8 https://youtu.be/na_X8n_xVp8
Thanks to the great video installation went well. 2 caveats to mention. The firing pin retainer roll pin may be hard to get out and in my case impossible to reinsert. I ordered a couple from Ruger in hopes for a slightly smaller pin, but none would fit. Finally slightly tapered the end of the pin with a Dremel tool to start it. A roll pin punch did the rest. Take Chris's advice in the video to grease the inner trigger return spring so it won't fall out or get lost. It is teeny-TINY. The firing pin roll pin retainer is also microscopic. After completion, trigger pull weight decreased to 3 lbs from 6.5 lbs. Smooth operation and improved accuracy; latter probably from trigger pull lightening.
Only took a little while to do the upgrade. Trigger pull feels so much nicer now. Have not had to chance to put any rounds through it yet. Only problem I had was trying to remove the firing pin retaining pin. Took quite awhile to get it to break loose and move so I could change out that spring. Highly recommend this upgrade to anyone with an LCP.
My wife’s LCP 2 was difficult for her operate due to negative effects of carpal tunnel syndrome. I was preparing to sell it and spend a few hundred dollars more for another pistol when I saw this kit. I purchased this kit and installed it myself. It feels like a completely different firearm! She can now operate the slide with confidence and no longer wants to replace her pistol. Definitely a great upgrade that I highly recommend!!! Thank you MCARBO for the work you guys are doing!
