Quality parts! Great products! Ended up being a more simple replacement than I first imagined. This will definitely last longer than the factory nylon. Very happy to make the change!
I consider this to be a quality vs comfort upgrade. It is no exception to the quality you expect from MCARBO. The video was a great step-by-step process (as with all MCARBO videos). I also took the opportunity to do some extra cleaning of the extractor channel while having it apart. Replacing plastic parts with stainless steel parts is always a good move. This upgrade should keep my PM9 as reliable and trusted for EDC as it has been since 2011.
Well-machine, fits perfectly
If you carry your Kahr for self defense you should go ahead and install one of these just to eliminate the guide rod as a potential source of malfunction. The stock plastic part is fine for occasional shooting but you should be practicing regularly with your carry gun.
I purchased this steel striker guide rod for a Kahr PM9 at the same time I bought the spring kit. I was amazed to disassemble the slide and find a plastic guide rod. I never had any problem with the plastic rod but it did look somewhat bent. This guide rod is beautifully machined and I have much more confidence that it will not fail than I did with the plastic. A nice touch.
Installed trigger spring and striker guide on a Cw9. Functions flawlessly dry fired, haven't had time too shoot it yet. Shipping was pretty quick considered across the U.S (5 days). I had to add to my order and contacted customer service, they were great to work with. They gave me the feeling they were a family that cares!
Great replacement for the factory poly piece
While cleaning a friends gun I accidentally launched the striker guide into outer space and it never came back down to earth. Searched online and found this one from M-Carbo that is light years ahead of the plastic one. Superb fit and finish, would highly recommend to anyone with a Kahr!
Installed one in all my Kahr pistols though I've Never had the OEM ones fail.....just seems to make good sense!!

Great product and if you did not make manufacture it I would have never known that my plastic guide was bent. I believe it is a life saving upgrade. Who knows what could happen and when if the plastic guide jammed a persons pistol? I just also just received your ramp polishing kit. Another great product offered by your company. Your instruction videos sold me on your product and also helped using your products.

I’ve only written a hand full of reviews in my time of online buying and I feel that mcarbo deserves more credit than can be given by typing into a box on a screen. If I could shake someone’s hand, I would. Everything arrived quickly. The packaging was exceptional, usually I could care less about that. I feel like all the “unboxing” videos out there hype up the packaging more than the actual product. I guess I just don’t get it. In this case I felt like the packaging stood out without being excessive. Not to mention, the product was superb. The best part is the corresponding videos. I’m not a novice and I’m not a gunsmith either. I didn’t think I needed the video, but it thought me a much more efficient way to disassemble my firearm. Thank you for what I reckon is the best online shopping experience I’ve had.
