Review
The s&w sigma was a great intro priced pistol similar to Glock gen 1 but with a metal magazine the only draw back was that ridiculously heavy trigger pull this solves that issue. Shipping was fast and part super easy to install.
Spring works great, only complaint was the plastic pin used to hold the other pin in place too small, kept falling out. Ended up using a piece of toothpick.
Great product, quick shipping. I put the S&W Sigma spring kit in my SW40VE. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, so I don't know exactly how much it reduced the trigger pull. It did noticeably reduce the pull. Disassembly was quite straightforward. I did have a bit of a time reinstalling the pigtail spring, even after watching the how-to video a couple of times. I made an assembly dowel out of a finishing nail a bit larger in diameter than the supplied dowel. After a couple of tries, it all went together.
I followed the YouTube video that gave the link to this website. The process was easy and smooth. I learned a lot about my pistol parts. The trigger pull is a lot lighter, i love it. I carry for family defense and it scared me half to death to think of getting beat to the punch in a shoot out because of that old ridiculously heavy trigger pull. Thanks for the trigger kit, I love it.
The trigger pull is much lighter with Mcarbo's spring kit. I feel accuracy will be much better. Might even be able to get those rounds out faster too! Install was easy but really have to closely follow the video instructions. When installing the trigger pin start the pin through the lower housing and into the locking block. Be sure to use a small screwdriver to push up on the slide lock as shown so you compress the spring to align the hole in the slide lock. This was the only critical portion of the assembly I found. Big thanks to Mcarbo for such a great product! Highly recommend!
WOW!!! Now that I’ve gotten all the excitement out of the way, I can proceed. If you have or going to buy a Smith & Wesson Sigma SW40VE or SW9VE, you really need this Trigger Spring Kit from M*CARBO. I had the same problem as others had in this review. Liked the SW9VE but not it’s two handed trigger. I felt the same about selling or trading it for something with a manageable firing trigger. My SW9VE is a few years old, but hasn’t had many rounds pushed thru it. I feel like it’s worth more than $125. And for $12.95 this Kit is worth every penny. While waiting on the Trigger Spring Kit to arrive, I watched the “How To” video four times. When it hit the mailbox, I immediately got everything together and turned on the PC. Windows wanted to do some of its updates. So, I started without it. After removing the slide assembly everything was there just as they said it would be! And by the time the PC had updated and restarted a couple of times, I was done. From ten pounds to FIVE pounds… Seriously, the Sigma feels smoother and quicker. Can’t wait to try it out with some live rounds.
The YouTube video was spot on and the "Trigger Spring Kit" for my SW40VE went in as easy as it was explained. I also purchased the punch kit & block that also made it easier.
Does what it is supposed to do, lighter trigger
Okay, so I installed this part (not that hard to do, but be careful not to bend this little guy) and it definitely helped. However, I also installed in conjunction with a new polycarb trigger from Apex along with their spring kit. The trigger wouldn't reset properly and so I had to put that factory trigger back in it with all of the ugly travel and reset to it. This spring is great, it takes a mediocre pistol and makes it utilitarian. Just watch out for the other products that go with this particular firearm.
Installing this spring was a breeze with the video instructions. It made a huge difference in the trigger pull. I can't wait to go try it out!
my first time taking a gun apart. The spring fit as stated, I noticed the reduction in pull right away. Took it to the range and the accuracy was better. The first shot, the trigger was a little stiff then after the first shot, the trigger was nice. I would say the pull was about five and half pouds. I recommend this kit for sigma owners.
Great spring reduced the trigger pull majorly great product would definitely recommend
I was skeptical about buying this kit. The mixed reviews left me feeling a bit "MEH". The SD40VE trigger is a mess, heavy pull, tons of creep, and just leaves me wondering what S&W was thinking. Then I remember the key point about this weapon. This is a sub-$400 pistol. Yes, the M*CARBO kit works! The change in the profile of trigger performance was exactly what they promised. On that note: The SD40VE is a pig, and the upgrade is nothing more than lipstick, BUT.... In the realm of budget pistols it is $20 well spent. This is not a $20 " made my pistol a tricked out race-gun" fairytale, it is a solid upgrade that delivers the performance asked for. Should you find yourself dissatisfied with this upgrade, maybe it is time to consider trading your Smith in on something better?
Great mod for the trigger pull. Would recommend this for anyone who still has the stock spring in the SW40VE
Very pleased with the product and customer service! Shipping was fast they do a great job at letting you know what is going on will do more with this company!! Thanks
This product lived up to its advertisement. I went from a 10 pound trigger pull down to a 5 pound pull. It’s awesome.
