The trigger combined with the spring kit was like night and day! The release is so crisp, take up is gone. I polished all mating surfaces of the sear assmb and now, she is sweet!! Awesome service from these guys and gals. Packaging of everything I've purchased was perfect and protected the finish of the parts. Thanks everyone and God bless.
Normally when I see nothing but 5 star reviews I figure that a company is only displaying what they want you to see however this is a quality item. The feeling of this trigger (also accompanied by the spring kit) is a very pleasant upgrade, installed on a ksg 25 it no longer has the nerf gun trigger. It also passed the drop test. The quality of the machine work truly is impressive and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who owns a ksg. It is not difficult to install and is very crisp with little to no creep. Shipping was fast and packaging was indiscreet and adequate! Overall outstanding product.
Must say this skeletonized aluminum trigger upgrade is better than the stock trigger. Looks great and feels great. No creep. Crisp trigger pull. This trigger and spring kit upgrade work best together. Watch video on how to install to make it easier install. Was able to install trigger and spring kit in under 20 mins.
Easy to install feels like a new shot gun
I bought the trigger and springs and I have to say it totally changed the KSG! First, the install video made the process so much more enjoyable. Little comments like "just lean that pin forward" were right where they needed to be. Its like these guys make parts for the KSG! After install and polishing the engagement surfaces I went from a 7.6LB pull down to 4.9Lbs with zero pre travel. Now just to cure the overtravel. Well done guys!
This kit made the KSG trigger go from a squishy ‘glock-like’ trigger to a 1911 trigger in no time. No regrets on this purchase
I had the brethren at MCARBO install this trigger on my new KSG as well as the aluminum followers, trigger spring kit, shell deflector, QD sling post and they removed a lock tited grab rail as well as the locktited QD post that I had installed and could not rremove, I also had the 30 minute polish work done in it. To say it is not the same shotgun is an understatement to put it plainly. The original KSG is a fine shotgun, so without insulting their good work I can say my shotgun has been uprgraded in ways that only the MCARBO CNC parts can do, IMHO. The pump action is smooth and snappy, the magazine feed is smooth and makes the weapon smoother and quicker for me. The trigger kit, well it is not the same weapon. The original factory pull and let off was a bit plastic feeling and heavier. I haven’t, measured the pull, but the feel is not too light, but is a lighter, cleaner, solid, snappy let off thing, now. As subjective as I am reviewing my shotgun I am quite pleased with the MCARBO parts AND the MCARBO install, it was worth the wait for sure.
It got rid of almost all the take-up on the trigger and it's super crisp now. Installation was a pain in the ass but that's besides the point,
Exactly as advertised. Really much better than the stock trigger. Expect to take longer to put everything back together after a really easy installation, Kel-Tec could've made the lower easier to pop together with a couple of minor changes to their injection molds.
The reduced pre-travel was a huge improvement over the stock trigger.
My only issue with this trigger was when I began to polish it there were minor striations in the metal from when it was cut. So I had to remove a little more material than what I wanted but it still turned out very nice and functions much better than the OEM trigger. I love the screw used to reduce the travel in the trigger.
This is a well designed and easy to install trigger. The travel adjustment screw works wonderfully, and along with the spring kit this has almost made the trigger too easy to pull.
I originally ordered the hand guard, then recieved an email about the trigger update & spring kit. WOW, what a difference! The trigger & spring kit were fairly easy to install , with the video they also sent me. It walks you through the entire process. Don't be scared! Just pay attention to the details & alignment of pins. Take your time, great improvement. Thanks again.
Before I start the review I want to make it clear that "I'm a gunsmith. The factory trigger on the KSG was measured at 7# 8.5 oz. The trigger felt more like a toy gun and had unacceptable pre-travel for my liking. Although I've disassembled a few KSGs I watched the installation video. Excellent video and very well done. This video should make anyone with mechanical ability and tools needed capable of installation. After installing this trigger & spring kit using the Super lube Synthetic Grease w/ PTFE the trigger had no over travel, great reset and clean crisp & reduced trigger pull. Excellent upgrade and I recommend to everyone. If you don't feel capable of the install send it to M*CARBO or a qualified local gunsmith. Oh and did I mention this trigger is a great price!!!
I currently own two KSGs and so bought triggers for both. I also bought the trigger spring kit so I could replace all parts at the same time. Installation was a breeze thanks to the detailed installation videos! I really appreciate the detail presented on the videos and especially the comments on what not to do and what to do if something "pops" out of place. The videos made the installation simple and I am super happy with he results. Trigger pull is smooth and feels much better than the stock trigger pull. The trigger feels smooth on the finger and doesn't have the sharp plastic edge the stock trigger has. Great kit and great videos to help with the installations.
This is my 5th purchase from a car o. I am sure I will be ordering more in the future. Clear easy to understand instructional videos. And high quality parts. This KSG aluminum trigger is an excellent upgrade. Remove the plastic trigger, has an adjustable screw to removable the trigger take up for a crips clean break. And not too difficult to install. Add the new springs and you reduce the pull weight making this an even better shotgun. I highly recommend if you are thinking of getting this to get it as well as the springs. Already there why not.
