Easy to install... put it in oven to soften it, wrap it around and hold in place. Great job...I think I'll use this as a template to make a steel one.
I used my oven at 300F. The kydex needed to be stretched a bit to make it into both screw holes and it cooled rather quickly so I had to try a few times. Once it was in place and hardened it was perfect. As a lefty, this little solution saved me from having to sell my sub 2k because the face spraying prior to this shield was pretty bad.
looks great on the gun. does cool off very quick . took me two tries to get the my desired affect. cabt wait to try it out in tue range.
Took a few tries. I used a toaster over and only took a few mins to get the Kydex soft but it cooled very quickly and I found I had to stretch it a little in order for the screws to line up with the holes. A hint: Put the screws in the holes before heating. That gives you a little extra time to get it in place before it hardens. Excellent accessory to keep those shells from spraying in my face (I am a lefty).
The installation video was explicit enough to make the job easy. You do need to move fairly quick to accomplish in the first heating of the product. Since I am a lefty this product is awesome.
if you dont have this on your sub 2000 you should dig a hole in the yard and bury it. this is a must have item for all sub2000 owners. this rifle punishes lefty shooters without this deflector. i wouldnt shoot one without this little gem

I lost sight in my right eye in my early 20's so shooting left is a must for me. While I thoroughly enjoyed shooting my KT Sub2K I had to always be mindful of the blowback (shells, gas, un-burnt powder, etc.) bouncing off my forehead/cheek. I wear safety glasses but even still its an annoyance. Tried a DIY remedies but they were always temp solutions. Found the M-Carbo Shell Deflector and I can say it is well worth the money! This is a useful item in general, especially if you collect your shells/reload, but if you're a leftie this product is an absolute MUST! Its easy to install and functions as advertised. I couldn't be happier and have recommended this to others in my shooting group.
Being a lefty this was a must have.
The casings flying by my face or bouncing off my hat never really bothered me. It was the sparks/unburnt powder that did. The deflector has eliminated around 99% of the problem. I will try a few adjustments to get to 100%. Thank you.

Inexpensive and effective addition to deflect shell casings away from face for left handed shooters. Super easy to install. Watch the installation video and you will have great results. Easy install, directions we're spot on . Little hesitant to purchase but really satisfied with finished product and function.
I used a toaster oven to soften it up initially installing the left side screw and getting it formed over the rifle then my heat gun to stretch it a bit to get the right side screw in and then reheated the flap to form it like I wanted. I have a red dot mounted at a 45* angle on the right side so I can use the iron sights, twist the rifle 45* and use the red dot and the sub 2k still folds like it's supposed to. This deflector solves the problem of the occasional shell bouncing off my shooting glasses or my forehead.
Following the instructions is pretty straight forward. This is a clever idea and easy to install. Haven't tried it in the field yet, but adjustments would be easy with a heat gun to remold to the shape needed. I'm a lefty and this is essential.
