Another hit out of the park. The nut tool made the instillation very easy and the followers fit perfectly. More importantly though, in my opinion is the service from Mcarbo. Not only did they provide and instillation video, but when I encountered difficulty removing the bolts from the mag tube (those in front of the ones holding the springs) they provided immediate help by phone. Something Keltek apparently could not bother with. I had emailed Keltek and later called for assistance with no response to either. It may be that it was Good Friday morning and some companies do take that as as holiday, but there should have been an away message on their phones if that was the case. In any event, Mcarbo stepped up and my instillation was completed a short time later. Thanks Mcarbo. You deserve the business of every veteran out there. Veterans supporting each other is a very good thing.
Upgrades made my KSG awesome looking and most importantly intimidating. Don't mess with a member of the Old Man's Club. Thanks McCarbo.
So like I was saying in my last review about the Mag Plug Wrench, that tool along with the Nut Tool kit are both a must if you intend to get the Hi-Vis PTFE coated aluminum or stainless steel followers. The original followers are plastic, and if you intend to do a lot of shooting, then you might want to consider getting one of the two options available here. I went with the aluminum, just because the holes are smaller (lets in less dirt), and hi-vis orange is just plain easy to see even in the daylight... Thanks to M*Carbo for yet another great idea for the KSG!
Really Loved the Red color is easy to see. I thought it was going to be hard to do but watched M*Carbo's video and oh Helped like crazy, So easy to do.Have ordered more items for my Kel-Tec KSG. Will Order more, Thanks
To date I have installed for clients (I am an FFL/SOT gun dealer and gun smith) and my personal KSG with the following KSG parts from M Carbo, Shell deflector, recoil pad, single point sling mount, cheek rest, hi viz followers, trigger, and trigger springs. I also purchased their barrel nut wrench and vise block to use in my shop. Every part and tool that I have purchased exceeded my expectation for quality and dealing with the customer service vets is amazing they are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I wish every company I deal with had this quality of service. This is my compliment: I trust the lives of my family with their products.
Work as advertised no problems
I installed the Mcarbo high viz followers and the new trigger and springs in my KSG and am very happy with the results. The trigger is much slicker than the old one with no take up, feels nice! The followers work much smoother than the plastic originals which were kinda sticky. The mag tube selector feels better now as well. The plastic ones stuck out slightly farther than the new ones causing the selector to push it back down. It just slides over the new ones, not a big deal but does feel nicer. Shipping was super quick and there's detailed video instructions for everything. Awesome job Mcarbo!
The best bang for your buck if you plan on swapping out your followers. The Hi-Vis orange of these followers makes it easy to tell if your mag tubes are empty AND help smooth out the action. I did this in conjunction with an Extended Mag Tube Switch and Muzzle Brake swap. Everything took less than an hour to accomplish. MCARBO has produced an excellent product and watching the upgrade videos are an awesome resource when performing the upgrades. Great job MCARBO!!!!!
I have purchased some other products from mcarbo before and had no issues. They are always excellent to deal with. The set comes with everything you need to replace and install your ksg followers. If you have any issues, they are there to help with videos and technical help if needed.
I used a small battery impact wrench to turn the tool. It pulled the follower nuts right out. There was some gummy build up I had to scrape out to allow the old followers to slide out. Even with that the whole job took about 15 minutes for both sides. The metal followers hold up great, I have my mag tubes blocked off so I can hunt. The stock plastic one broke and these show no signs of wear after a few weeks.
I know everybody says that certain marketed products are "must haves" but this one truly is. I don't know how in the heck I would've gotten those follower nuts off without scratching them if i hadn't had this. It fits perfectly into the grooves and is simple to use. Took me all of about 10 minutes to change both followers. Excellent product.
MCARBO with their detailed informative videos and products allow you to work smart not hard on your KSG. I plan on picking up another because of all of the modifications available.
Decided to buy these for my new KSG upon my first time cleaning it. Factory ones were deformed and really scratched up. After a good cleaning and dry lubed these followers slid in the mag tube like silk. Having the special tool made it so much easier. Highly recommend.
Looks great and works even better. The price is right too!
The tool made it easy as others have mentioned. The followers do make a difference and in my opinion are well worth the money.
